Plague. Infection. Death. Civilization is gone, assaulted by the walking dead. Within these pages lies a man’s tale of unspeakable horror and humor told during the zombie apocalypse. One man stands immune to the greatest plague in human history. Our hero, should you choose to call him that, is now hunted by organizations that would use him for his immunity. Chased by relentless forces incapable of mercy or pity, our hero and his friends must fight off those that seek to destroy them. Government scientists seek him. The dead want to eat him. Humanity needs him. No longer is our hero a useless plebe, unable to tell the difference between a clip and a magazine. No longer is he a fool who continually makes mistakes. He is now an utter badass who continually makes mistakes. Join him as he chronicles his successes and failures in a world where success means finding an unopened can of Spam, and failure means death.
It can't be over. I need more. So many questions left unanswered. The third installment we see our lovely Hero reunited with his "family". We see him become a better person, if that's possible. But hey wait, why was he locked up? IDK...IDC but I do wanna know. I'm just going to sit here and hope that one day ...soon maybe, I'll get some answers. Oh, BTW, it's an awesome series.
Another great book by Restucci. How can you go wrong when you are fighting to survive the zompoc alive yet manage to keep an awesome sense of humor despite the fact that the government as well as the 'triumpherent' all want to get their hands on you because you are lucky enough to be one of the few who are immune to the virus that makes everyone else turn when they are bitten. Sadly that luck does not carry over to the people you've befriended and loved. With people constantly trying to 'collect' you, the wake of your trail is littered with bodies as they don't give a darn who they have to kill in order to get. All of a sudden, question quickly changes to are you really that lucky? An awesome read that I had great difficulty putting down. I just hope that the author is feeling kind and doesn't leave us hanging too long without a follow up.
Remnants of the government and the military are holed up in Baldy Mountain somewhere in Montana. They have kidnapped our anti hero and are torturing him daily in an attempt to find out what happened. They want to answer these questions: 1. What caused this zombie manifestation? 2. Is there a cure? 3. Could our man be the key to saving the world?
They took samples of all his fluids, and every other part of him. The findings? Nothing about “the infected” was different from other people except that they were now monsters. A bite, a scratch or any of their nasty fluids in your mouth or eyes and chances were good that you would, in days or minutes you would turn. Your eyes would be red, shot with blood and your body would start to decay. You wouldn’t breathe or feel anything.
But there was this guy who got bitten, more than once, and got well again. So he became an experiment. Until things went horribly wrong.
Awesome stuff. There’s lots of gore and fights but there’s also lots of action and movement. Good character development and characters you care about. So much zombie fun!

The ending sequel to the Zombie Theories trilogy surpassed my expectations by a long mile. This triology is known for its dark comedy which was evident in its first book, but as the journey has reached its ending, Restucci managed to carve an engaging journey through land, sea, and air with Ship whom I was glad that he survived the journey and the arrogance of some of the characters including our protagonist. However, there is a pattern with many zombie survival novels, there is always someone who is immune and the government is out to get him and with she special capability, the arrogance of our protagonist went through the roof.
Shamblers, mentions of fast zombies but doesn’t seem to change the dynamic much. Immune hapless MC reminds me of the blue guy in Z-nation tv series. Gigantic sidekick Ship has personality, There is a fourth book which is not here on goodreads. Series lacks a satisfying conclusion just kinda continues but no fifth book for years now.
This book was frantic. The pacing of events and action were too chaotic to get a sense of the story’s development. It felt like the author was trying to cram as much into this last book as he could. Could have been better or stretched out into a 4th book.
I really want to move on to the next book, but it isn’t on the included list. I will have to use a credit to listen. I’ll wait a while to see if it will end up there.
I will miss this bunch though. Well written and told. Love the humor, especially the looney tunes references.🤣
Need more please. Having serious withdrawals. Husband is hounding me for more. Love this series. Cleverly written and. Audio book is just a treat to listen to.
I am going through a binge listen of this author and this story this worked really well for me, it was quite fun and I did enjoy it - went straight onto the next one. The joys of audio plus categlouge works
I loved the way that Dallas was brought in and looking forward to seeing what has been happening over in Alcatraz
I waited FOREVER! Well worth it! And Billy! I'm so happy he was in this book. Love the way you're tying your two series together. Please don't stop writing. I'll be crushed if you do.
I found this book up great page turner, interesting, fascinating, filled with laughter, family, friends and adventure! Always on your toes always wanting the good guy to win, always wanting immunity for all of his friends
Was looking for a bit of a different route. This reads identical to the first book. No surprises, save your money. Good first book. Mailed it in on the last two though...
Excellent book, one of the best zombie fiction books I've read to date and I've read many, the protagonist is both comical and serious in a lil the right places as well as genuinely likeable other characters, the constant threat of elimination or being eaten interspersed with the protagonists sharp wit make it a thrilling read
