A meh addition to a series that seems to be no longer my style. This far the plot is feeling incredibly repetitive and the pacing problems I had in my review of Dax are even more pronounced in this one. The couple has sex literally within the first 15% of the book (I read it on Kindle so I am not sure about specific pages) as such there was no sexual tension or emotional bonding prior to getting physical.
Into the specific characters for this book, instead of discussing general critiques of the series.
Trent is an IT “guru” (basically dude that grew up hacking into things but does it now by legally (mostly) monitoring open financial / other records for traces of illegal activity. He eventually with the help of a journalist manages to implicate an important government official. Oh crap assassins are after him so he needs security.
In steps Lana the newb to the shifter protection agency on her first job since college. She’s a bear and is immediately attracted to her mate even before his . I guess that wasn’t really a spoiler as the cover and the plot of the earlier book totally gives away a major plot point. I like her and her bear was totally a badass.
I might continue but I hope some of the later books have a change of pacing. There are currently 16 books listed so I am not rushing through this one because I managed to fall so far behind.

Trent is a IT expert and he discovers that someone is doing something naughty and secret scout dangerous so before he goes to court and testifies against the people he hires a security firm to look after him what doesn’t realise there shifters and that liner bird decides that she is his mate.. This one is a full saucy one a lot of getting it on which is very similar and other shift books that Milly Taiden written really enjoy the series but not as much as a PDA series that I would highly recommend reading

Another Alpha Geek Shifter Romance
The first and last part of this novel were good, but the middle part felt unnecessary, it was slow and repetitive with only similar kind of sex and action scenes. It felt that the novel was only all about sex and love at first sight and very similar to the previous novels in the series. I would like to read different and new kind of stories containing still the core elements of the series, having some surprises. Also there were fair amount of typo errors in the text, it could have done with a little bit of better editing.

This is an OK shifter romance, but it seemed that the couple was more in lust than in love. Trent and Lana were both likable, but I would have liked a little more romance and a little less sex.
This was a quick read, so there wasn't time for as much character development as I like -- but there was enough to like the couple and to want them to find their HEA.
I thought Trent would have been a little more shocked when he first saw Lana shift, and then had a little more trouble adjusting to becoming a shifter himself.
One complaint is that most of Milly's stories are a bit too explicit for me. I like hot sex in romances, but I would prefer it to be a little less descriptive and dirty. I am not a prude, but the really explicit stuff is just not romantic to me. But I will continue to read Milly's writing, as it is entertaining and fun.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Bear shifter Lana Parr is new to working in security and it thrilled to get her job with the shifter protection agency and be assigned her first client. However, when he opens the door to her she is overcome with the attraction she has to the geek - he is actually her mate. Her immediate worry is how can she protect someone when all she wants to do is remove their clothes? IT guru Trent King has uncovered a lot of underhand dealings implicating a government official. He is assigned a brave and beautiful agent who just makes him forget that she is actually there to do a job when all he can do is think lusty thoughts about her. When everything goes badly everything changes for Trent because he had signed to allow the shifter agency to use their secret serum on him that will irreversibly change him. Things become a lot different for the geek who didn't think he could get the girl when he now feels worthy of her and wants to be the one doing the protecting.
I enjoyed this story which had an unlimited supply of bad guys trying their best to kill Trent and Lana was doing everything she could to keep him alive. I loved the way that the story ended and that they had a future together both doing what they loved. There was a lot of danger and drama in this story and it was easy to feel her determination to keep him alive. Easy to read and understand. A HEA and some explicit sexual content.

Lana is a shifter protector and she works for Milan's Shifter Protection Agency that Trent King hired to protect him from Senator Quirk whom he found out was running a Ponzi scheme Trent King is a previous kid hacker and top IT finance guy for the very man trying to have him killed. When he sees who his agency protector is he is totally attracted because she is so beautiful and he knows that women like her are not interested in geeks like him. For some reason Trent is really not taking things as seriously as he should and they make it to the safe house she lets Meghan the company IT and her friend know who the client is to her, while they are in the safe house they get a visit from some shifters who wont to take him from her and things to get real serious real quick for Trent but Dax and Meghan come to their aid and Dax sends them to her home thinking they would be safe. The characters are very interesting and entertaining. Drama, action-adventure, suspense, danger, and love. I read an ARC via BookFunnel without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

Oh! My! I absolutely loved this "twist" on who's protecting who! It's not often we have a woman protecting the male, but it totally worked in this book! I love that Ms. Taiden has taken a sort of role-reversal and created a hot and steamy tale that will melt your soul! Since the moment they met, our two heroes formed a bond that could be dismissed, and it was sizzling to watch Trent and Lana work their way through Fate's desire.
Chalked full of intense heat between Lana and Trent, the intrigue, battles to be fought and won and bad guys to take down, this tale will have you on edge from page 1 to the end! Definitely worth the read!

As is true for this series, the bodyguard finds the person she is guarding as her fated mate and he at the brink of death is saved by a serum that transformed him into a shifter. What kind of shifter, that would be a surprise, for the MCs and the readers. There is definitely nonstop action as the enemy never stops to kill their target. And the MC is always in danger even with his shifter status. Let's not forget, there is also lots of love and lots of loving. And that love has saved our MC so many times.But there's more, we get to see to the end of our MCs hea. Looking forward to their married life and having kids. That's what they have in the end.

Why would a geek need her to protect him? Well, Trent is almost too smart and likes to find people breaking the law. And now his life is in danger. Fate will bring Lana to him through a protection agency. From the start there will be sparks. But the will also be fun shots and bad people trying to get them. The story is filled with action and danger. I will say that the ending is very sweet and will put a smile on your face.

What a great quick read! Trent and Lana were fantastic characters! They were both so sweet and funny! Plenty of action and steam off the charts! The ending was so cute! Another fantastic tale of a strong shifter female meeting her mate in a smart geek. In this case bear shifter Lana takes a new job as a bodyguard for forensic accountant geek Trent. Trent is a whistleblower against some powerful people who don’t want him to testify. Lana and Trent find love on the run. These two are quite possibly my favorite geek couple.

A wild ride that doesn't disappoint. Plenty of action and plenty of heat. I enjoy the world building in this series. It's cool to see previous characters from earlier books in the series. I liked how the author had the characters question more some of their development more than what I read previously in the series.

Great book! I often feel that series with too many installments get stale, but Ms. Taiden had kept the Alpha Geeks fresh. It is interesting how they have now incorporated the serum in a new way into the story.

I enjoyed this storyline a great deal. Though I did get a bit distracted by a side plot that I think was changed from that character's book, but it didn't impact this story. So all in all terrific new series installment

Too much rinse and repeat and lacking in actual romance and character building.
