Return to the exhilarating—and ruthless—world of Coreene Callahan’s Dragonfury Series as the threat of war rises, new enemies emerge, and unlikely alliances are forged…
Down on her luck, Theodora Rutledge does the one thing she promised herself she never would—return home to Seattle. As a single mom, she needs a job fast to put a roof over her three-year-old’s head. When the mob mistakes her for her identical twin, she comes face to face with Sloan—a man more dangerous than the Russians who want her sister dead.
Tasked with building an alliance to stave off a world war, dragon warrior Sloan doesn’t have time for distractions. Mistakes cost lives—the loss of his son all he requires to understand the terrible truth. But when he witnesses a stranger being attacked, he breaks every rule to keep her alive, endangering the Nightfury pack by drawing the destructive eye of a vengeful goddess.
I absolutely loved getting to know Sloan better! He is so much more than the Nightfury hacker. It was awesome to see the mentor side of Sloan as he guides Ange in her new path. Honestly the only problem that I have with the book is that it ended! I can't wait for more interaction with the Scottish pack and the fallout from the collaboration with the Nightfurys.

This story was such an amazing adventure! I couldn’t put it down. Sloan and Theo are such a fantastic combination. The roller coaster ride through this book was so very satisfying. Coreene Callahan does it again.

First, the required disclosure: I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review...
Ms. Callahan has done it again! Sloan and Theo's story is nothing short of spellbinding! Fast pace, with some hot romance mixed in, I literally couldn't put it down!
Sloan, the pack IT expert and recluse, finally found his mate! Theo, on the run from the Russian mob, almost literally fell into his talons. The two give each other what they need: a fresh start after a painful past.
And in the middle of it all, the horrific breeding program and hierarchy struggles take center stage. Are they over, once and for all? Or will we see and learn more as the pack members each finds his perfect match?
This series will keep you engaged and wanting more. So, if you have stumbled on to this book, go back and start from the beginning. Each males story is mesmerizing and you will not regret the time lost as you untangle their pasts and see them race toward a brighter future. IMHO, it is time well spent:-)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and continuing the story of the Dragon Fury warriors! Sloan's underground lair is beautifully described and the bond between Theodora and her daughter is beautiful. I love reading more about Angela and her character's journey as Fury of Ice was one of my favorite books in the series. I can't wait for the next book in the series 😍.

Sloan and Theodora’s adventure continues the exciting and unique spin on Dragon lore that I find an excellent escape from my reality into a fantasy world of guilty pleasure.
This book grabbed my attention from the start! I love how Coreene immerses you into the story.
Finally we get to see the full Sloan! He’s been one of my favorite characters of the Dragonfury series for a while and this book did not disappoint! From trading Angela to find his mate, Sloan is juggling a lot. Not to mention surveying the web, trying to make pack connections, and keep his pack safe from the hit squad.
Given his back story you would think that he wouldn’t want a mate let alone a child to care for but he takes it all in stride while managing the world around him. Happy to see his Earth Dragon magic and understand what makes him different.
Thank you Coreene for an awesome book!.

Such a fast paced, phenomenal ride! Theo had never expected her life to be long, being on the run proved that. Then the moment she thought her time was up Sloan swoops in and saves the day.
Sloan never thought he'd have happiness and he lived a short fused life until 2 ladies changed that. Can he convince Theo to stop running?
Can't wait for more from the dragons now that alligiances are being cemented.

Fury of Aggression is book 8 in Coreene Callaghan’s Dragon Fury series and features Sloan, the Earth dragon. I was so excited to read this book, I felt like I’d been waiting on Sloan’s story forever. Grumpy Earth dragon who suffered from a terrible loss in the past but is always there to help his brothers in arms. The heroine, Theodora, on the run from her own checkered past. I couldn’t wait to dig in.
The book started with a dilemma immediately presenting itself and kept a fairly swift pace throughout. It was intriguing to learn more about what Sloan’s dragon was capable of, which was pretty incredible stuff. Theodora was resilient and tough in the face of adversity.
I enjoyed the book but felt there were some things missing. There was a ton of detailed descriptions, from the terrain in the area, to the layout of Sloan’s personal lair. That was great but I had hoped to delve more into Sloan’s past and understand what had occurred there but that information wasn’t really touched on. We learned a lot about Theodora’s past but nothing new or in-depth really about Sloan’s. I also don’t think the relationship between Sloan and Violet was as flushed out as it could have been. It was very cursory, it felt like it had no depth. I loved Violet and her quirkiness and would have liked to see her interact more with Sloan.
It also seemed like a lot to fit into one book, with secondary story arc’s with Azrad and his triad and Zidane and his kill squad though I know they were needed to advance the overall series. We get to check in on some our favorite dragon warriors and their mates and kids from past books, which was nice. Though Gage’s mate and son were notably not mentioned.
Overall I throughly enjoyed the book and I love the series. I am looking forward to reading about Haider, Nian, Azrad, Kilmar, Terranon, and even Ivar and Hamersveld finding their HEa 😉❤️
Coreene Callahan is an amazing author and storyteller who’s written another scorching hot, action-packed, and incredible new book about Sloan, Dragonkind, and the Nightfury pack. Fury of Aggression is Sloan and Theodora’s story. I highly recommend reading Fury of Aggression. It has become one of my new favorite stories because Sloan is such a sweetheart and, as an Earth dragon, he has the coolest underground lair and explosive powers!
Sloan and Theodora’s passion is insatiable. Fate has thrown them together under extreme circumstances. Both love nature and form a quick and perfect bond but, will they be able to overcome their own issues and let go so they can fully embrace each other as bonded mates?
As an earth dragon, Sloan’s powers have never been fully revealed until now and, wow, what an impressive and mind-blowing arsenal he has. Theo’s little girl, Violet has made an interesting new friend at Black Diamond. Angela is facing her own challenges as the newest member of the Dragonfury pack. Azrad and his triad need to get out of some serious trouble after volunteering for Ivar’s breeding program. Rodin is in Seattle after being given the green light to work with the Razorbacks and wipe out the entire Nightfury pack. Lots to unpack in this fast-paced, no holds barred, exciting new story.
You don’t have to read the Dragonfury Scotland books before this one but, I’d recommend you do to know more about the characters that are mentioned in this story. Plus, who wouldn't want to read about more dragons, in Scotland!?
This installment of the Nightfury Saga puts Sloan front and center, displaying his amazing abilities, talent and heart throughout the story. Sloan has always been an integral member of the Nightfuries, but he has mostly been a secondary, mysterious figure in the lair. It looks like all he required to shine was finding his mate! During a training exercise teaching the newest dragon in the lair (Angela) the wonders of flight, they stumble upon the lovely Theodora and her adorable daughter, Violet who are in serious peril. On the run from the Russian Bratva, the girls are on foot in the wilderness and are being pursued by men firing guns. Theodora is injured during the rescue, prompting Sloan’s dragon half to get on board and recognize her as his perfect match in time to heal her and bring her to Black Diamond to recover. As Theo & Violet adjust to life in the lair and out of immediate danger, Sloan aides his pack in connecting to the Scottish pack, thereby obtaining incriminating evidence against the Archguard to send out to other packs in hopes of creating new alliances against Rodin & Zidane. There is also much anticipated news from Azrad that the pack must act on before the Meridian realigns and Ivar’s plans come to fruition. Sloan’s dragon is a scary- powerful entity with wicked abilities that are awe inspiring to see in action. He has kept a lot of hidden talents, along with a heart of gold, locked away behind his beloved computers in depth’s of the lair. Don’t miss this earth dragon’s adventure as he sheds his guilt and steps back into the land of the living.

First off - If you haven't read any of this series, this isn't the place to start. This is a series where the books build upon each other with the number of characters and various plot lines from book to book. in this book, she also further ties in her offshoot Scotland dragons series to this one (though if you haven't read any of those books you'll still be ok). Sloan and Theodore (Theo) are both emotionally wounded from their past and hiding in their own way. Sloan keeps himself separate from his brothers-in-arms/family while Theo is trying to keep ahead of the past and its dangers that hunting her & her daughter. The author does a good job in keeping each couple unique in how they meet and the path of the relationship building despite the "insta-love" of the shifter romance. it was nice seeing them both open and step out of the shadows together, and the little girl added a nice touch to the story. however, with several other major series plot lines running thru the book, the relationship portion is, by necessity, limited, and while there is some progression in those plots, we are also left with questions and (possible) teases. While overall satisfied at the end of the book, I also had a sense that something was missing, particularly with Azrad & crews events.

The Boys are back and the action will keep you turning the pages until the end. I love the Dragonfury series and have been waiting for Sloan's story since Book 2. In Fury of Agression, we find our favorite hacker out of his comfort zone which lands him smack in the middle of "right place, right time". So far, the mated Nightfuries have met their mates when they least expected to. Sloan is no different. Years of blaming himself for a personal tragedy have left him certain there was no mate for him in the world. So when he finds Theo, in the middle of the forest and under attack, his dragon half insists on saving her. Theo has been on the receiving end of rough treatment all of her life and has never let it take her down. This makes her initially uncertain of Sloan. All of her doubts are erased by the love she is given by Sloan and by the rest of the pack treating her like a true family would. For fans of the series, you get a couple of Easter eggs and for those new to the series, you really need to read them in order! I was very happy with this book! It flowed well and as usual, Ms. Callahan did not disappoint. Fury of Agression is the next delightful step in a world of dragons and their mates.

I want to thank the author for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.
This series is really great and this one is well-rounded inside it !! So many things are in motion, no details should be dismissed !!
Sloan is the IT man of the pack, the more discreet, being an Earth dragon makes him prefer solitude and being deep underground. Lately, his pack mates made sure that he would be more involved in night fights and he’s now a mentor. Still grieving the death of his newborn son, Theodora and her little daughter will change everything. Theodora is on the run, being a Russian mafia niece is not easy, her only goal is to protect her daughter from him and to live a quiet life, however, the cry for help from her twin sister leads her right back home - where the field is dangerous.
Sloan is so more powerful than excepted, that was surprising and his behaviour with little Violet is so cute - Theodora is traumatised by her childhood inside the mafia, she wanted out and to never come back. While fleeing her past, she stumbled across the Nightfury pack and her life will change forever.
So many things happened and I was shocked, relieved and happy !! The plot is so great and I finally had the reunion I was waiting for !! I cannot wait to see what will come next.
Wow. Coreene Callahan did it again. Fury of Aggression follows on seamlessly from Fury of Destruction and is also a very complex book. A lot happens. There`s plenty of action. Sloan, Zidane and Azrad perspectives dominate the plot this time.
Sloan is an earth dragon and... wow... I want to be one too. Who wouldn't want to wake up in a jungle bedroom too? And his plant monsters are... scary, but very effective. His connection with Theo was quick, stunningly beautiful and complete. And the nice thing was that there was still time for some laughs; despite the bad situation. Little Violet was so cute! The Exshow scene was awesome (From now on I'm a mini dragon fan.).
Zidane`s quest for independence is going to be interesting. Beatrice would be an interesting catalyst here....
Azrad`s "bunker dilemma" also takes an interesting turn. - Well... let's see if he shows his lady his spider collection. LOL
... I can't wait for the next book to come out. Haider's phenomenal idea would turn everything upside down and Sascha Cooper... - I think this is going to take an interesting turn.

This next installment of the dragon fury series features Sloan, a dragon-warrior with a tragic past who is a key person in the Seattle pack with his use of technology which gets the pack the information they need to keep their edge over their enemies. When he sees a woman in danger in the woods, he rushes to protect her and save her from danger. He instantly connects with her, his mate, who with her young daughter who helps him heal from the pain of loss he’s experienced. Theodora like all dragonkind mates is a strong, feisty woman who is also a protective mama who has been running from the Bratva since she’s been pregnant with her daughter. This book does not disappoint and keeps you wanting to see what comes next for the Seattle pack. This is definitely a must read.

I loved this book from the first through the last chapter. At first you don't see how Sloan and Theo could fit together but they do because together they are perfect.
There is so much going on in this book. You will find twists and turns, wonderful characters, different groups with their own agendas, there's action-packed, violence and steamy romance. It helps if you have read the previous books in the series because of the switching between different groups and topics within the book. I'm looking forward to the next book to find out what happens next.
I received a free copy of this book for a honest review. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys action, dependability and loyalty, building trust, relationships, love, and steamy romance.

This is the 8th book in the Dragonfury series. Unlike the others, Theo, the high energy female lead, does not initially meet Sloan, Nightfury resident computer geek, in his dragon form.
Sloan rescues Theo while in his human form and immediately bonds with her to save her life. In doing so, Theo becomes part of a family so unlike hers. You might think, of course, Sloan is a dragon. But her family is the Russian mob. As Theo learns more about both families, she and Sloan grow and heal together.
This book is definitely not a stand-alone story. You need to be up on the rest of the series for the many side stories to make sense: Archguard death squad, brothers-in-arms, a she-dragon, and the Meridian Realignment.

I am in love with this world and this author. These mighty dragon shifters have so much hidden depth behind their growly-ness, its amazing. This book is mostly about Sloan and Theodora but also holds many slices of other stories waiting to be told. There is more I wanted to see involving the people Theodora knew before, but I am sure that we will see more of them in future books.(Especially if Zidane has anything to say about it.) I strongly recommended that you start at the beginning of this interconnected series. You won't regret it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. What a way to go Sloan. Each Nightfury has a story to tell and no one could have known the background of Sloan. The author tells each story in a unique way to make you part of the story. Earth, Water, Ash, or Fire dragon, they each are a force to be reckoned with. I enjoyed the storyline because the female character was the right person for Sloan. Isolated but among so many of his friends and family.
What do you get when you mix a grumpy tech geek dragon with the Russian Bratva, a single mother and her daughter? One amazing book! It took eight books to get to Sloan’s story and the author did not disappoint. I’m so happy to spend time with the Black Diamond dragons again.

Sloan and Theo were great together. Love Vivi too. I hate that the Bratva situation hasn't been resolved. Don't like Zidane or Bea so hopefully they won't be a story. ( Unlees he kills her ) I do not see a path to redemption for either of them.
I need to know who's book is next. There are so many unanswered questions. Azrad & Kasi, Will Haider find someone he'll let close enough to touch, will Nian's mystery woman show up in Seattle??? Ughhh, I need more books.
Heat level was 🔥🔥 1/2. There was a lot going on but overall still good. Loved all of the Earth Dragon mojo!!!
Fast paced, could not put it down. Nice to all the see the threads of all the series start to come together really love the insights into sloane can't wait for next book
What an awesome couple Sloan and Theo make. Then when you add Violet into the mix, everything just gets better. Now, when is the next one coming out? I’m dying to see what happens with the girls that were rescued.
Wow!! I'm going to say I think this book is the best in the series yet. I did not expect the complexities that this book dished out. It was full of surprises in every chapter and kept me intrigued to the very end.

I absolutely loved reading, ‘Fury of Aggression!’ The storyline is captivating and the characters are amazing. Everything seems to be coming to a head, in this novel, and the suspense and action is phenomenal. It is a must read novel!
