Parke Godwin was an American writer known for his lyrical yet precise prose style and sardonic humor. He was also known for his novels of legendary figures placed in realistic historical settings; his retelling of the Arthur legend (Firelord in 1980, Beloved Exile in 1984, and The Last Rainbow in 1985) is set in the 5th century during the collapse of the Roman empire, and his reinterpretation of Robin Hood (Sherwood, 1991, and Robin and the King, 1993) takes place during the Norman conquest and features kings William the Conqueror and William Rufus as major characters. His other well-known works include Waiting For The Galactic Bus (1988) and its sequel The Snake Oil Wars (1989), humorous critiques of American pop culture and religion.
Parke Godwin also worked as a radio operator, a research technician, a professional actor, an advertising man, a dishwasher and a maitre d' hotel.
Godwin's short fiction has appeared in several anthologies. His short story "Influencing the Hell out of Time and Teresa Golowitz," was the basis of an episode of the television series The Twilight Zone.
I finally found an english witch graphic novel and it just happened to be the chapter books I'm missing. I didn't exactly get to finish it, there were two in here, issues 15 and 16, I finished 15, and glad I did. everything makes better sense now, I got a little confused when I started reading the 17th novel. I must admit it's alot funner reading the comics than the novels. W.I.T.C.H just wasn't meant to be a novel.
Definitely wasn’t my favorite. The only good thing was Caleb coming back to life almost like in Tangled. The rest was confusing and not necessary.
Luba is setting up the guardians. The Oracle gives her another chance to make up for what she’s done (putting all the powers into earth aka Cornelia). Luba still doesn’t think they are fit to be the guardians and wants to replace them with new ones. Cornelia is trying to use her powers to bring Caleb back. Luba taunts Cornelia and she erupts with power causing Caleb to come back as a dead murmur and Luba leaves her with him in Candracer to await trial and steals her magic. Cornelia cries and her tear of true love brought Caleb back to life. Luba uses this to rally the congregation against the guardians saying they are traitors. They are calling for the khandran and for new guardians. Guardians now powerless think about what being a guardian means to them. Being able to make a difference. Their powers became a part of them and helped them become the people they were supposed to be confident and brave. They remembered that the power of friendship is more powerful than anything else and it brought them to Candracer and gave them their powers back. Cornelia didn’t get her powers back though. Caleb begs them to give her powers back and in exchange he will be their faithful servant. Luba is pissed the oracle agrred and leaves. The oracle asks Caleb to go retrieve her and Cornelia gets her powers back.
Some ancient lady named, Nerissa awakened. Girls are spending a week at the beach with Irma’s mom and brother. Will talks about her date with Matt. Then grandma takes the mark away and tells them that pain never disappears completely it hides it lurks always to do more harm. She shows them her memories. She was her best friend and used to be a guardian herself. She was the keeper of the heart just like Will is. She stole the heart and battled the other guardians killing one. She was sentenced to exile in Mount Thanos. she was sealed in a tomb of stone, where she would have all eternity to think about her crimes. She could be set free if all five powers were united and one body, which happened with the altermere. Nerissa created a knight from a dog and named him Khor the Destroyer. Cornelia used her earth powers to communicate with the forest and she saw Khor. Nerissa attacked Hay-Lin in her dream. Khor tried to grab Hay-Lin. But the girls got away.
