This book aims to introduce some basic concepts of statistics and how to compute these statistic methods in Python. The idea is a good one and the mathematical description of the statistical methods is quite detailed with examples taken from health, finances, etc. I actually learnt a lot as my background in statistics is quite limited. However, there are a couple of major problems with the book.
The content is quite disorganized. I would say it is actually a mess. The sections are not organized in levels and concepts are introduced one after the other with no clear order in many cases. For instance initial sections are: hypothesis, frequency, central tendencies, sampling, graphs, outliers, quantile, standard deviation. Probability, predictions... etc etc. Second, there is no explanation at all of the Python code. The code is simply there and you can copy it and run it but do not expect any explanation.
In any case, it is useful if you are a beginner. You can copy and paste the code assuming you have some background in statistics and in Python and apply it to your work. But don’t expect any help if your skills with Python are limited...
