Designing e-modules on selected Instructional Media

Rate this book
The increased use of IT coupled with the growing access to electronic educational resources over internet is making educators to rethink and readjust to the changing environment of teaching, learning and research. In the near future, most of the higher educational institutions will increasingly use web to improve administrative processes, on-campus instruction and distance learning. It will become a preferred medium to reach off-campus students. It is expected that in future distributed, student-oriented learning with an increasing use of Internet-based courseware discussion groups and links to other online educational resources would occur in continuing education, job-related training etc. Internet based virtual universities would provide cost effective education. Inspite of all this being true; teachers and trainers have little knowledge about how to use computers for e-governance, on-line instruction and distance learning. Also they have no practice in handling multimedia elements. Given its comparative newness they have relatively less knowledge about multimedia and other e-learning resources. In cognizance of this shortcoming, an effort is initiated in this direction.
