The recipes in this book are really quite good--although having received Cooking Light in this format and also through magazines, I have to say that I like magazines much better. Its almost overwhelming trying to read through this book and come up with recipe ideas for dinner--but I have definitely found a few that I made staples of (a la, cheesy stuffed baked potatoes and 2 bean chili!) I also like pictures. There aren't many pictures. Lord I'm primitive.

Everything I have ever made in Cooking Light has been very good. My husband can't stand "light" recipes, and he never complains about these recipes. I don't usually make any of the the light desserts, because I rather have the "real thing" if I am going to eat dessert!
I don't have this specific book. Mine is a 2003 book. They come out every year with a compilment of the years recipes. The 2007 one is out now. I

The bananna pudding is sweet and rich, and usurps chocolate's place in my heart. All of the recipes I've tried, including the oven-fried chicken fingers, are easy and delicious and surprisingly light. I do wish it had more pictures, simply so I can get an idea of how the presentation should look.

The title is deceptive. After, reading the ingredients in the recipes it is clear that this is not a healthy book. Alas, it follows the Standard American Diet.

This is the best Cooking Light cookbook. I use it as a reference for a lot of standard items such as banana bread, turkey burgers, etc.
