I think it might be useful for unexperienced testers, but for those, who work in the field for 3-5 years... I don't know, 50% of the information mentioned in this book is hardly applicable to real life situations. It is okay for exam preparation and for those, who has no idea what software testing is.

Kad nokārtots eksāmens, varu arī novērtēt. :)

This book is a great overview of testing principles and preparation for the ISTQB exam. Well written and clearly organized. Plus, it has lots of problem sets and exam practice questions.

I would love to say that it was helpful for the exam. Unfortunately quite hard to collect the valuable information pieces from the chapters even though I was using the syllabus a lot.
It worth to read it to get some background and maybe it is better to start with this instead of the syllabus. Anyway don't rely so much on this book before your exam.

This book is ok and I wouldn't use it as your only source for the ISTQB Certification. I passed my exam but I wouldn't have passed it by only using this as my only reference material. My advice: read the ASTQB CTFL syllabus and buy and study the exams at www.universalexams.com (these are most like the test)and read chapter 4 of this book (12 questions of the exam are over this chapter), so be familiar with these terms and concepts.

This book - is only one which can help you to understand QA Theory and other aspects of testing. Add to this book ISTQB Glossary and you have all you need to get started as QA Junior, or get level up in testing for your needs.

Exactly what the title said: for exam study, not for casual reading to get insight into testing.

Ok to give a basic understanding. The parts where it was interesting was not comprehensive enough. Didn't feel like reading the next book.
