I'm always very careful, about religious books. There are so many bad and scary books available. But this book is totally different. The first time I read this , I became to think that what if this all is true...what if we all have God's mighty angels to protect us. And I'm talking now about mighty warriors. Not nice ladies with wings as painters have pictured angels in paintings. This book tells about those warrior angels who visited reverend Buck in 80's.

Also this book is the most amazing book I've ever read. I have read this 3-4 times trying to find facts that would tell me that the whole book is a fake. But I haven't found any fact that would point that way. I have given this to reverends to read asking them to read it very critically through, but no one has been able to reverse this books messages saying that this all isn't according to the Holy Bible.

The most fascinating book to read. I challenge everybody to read this critically through.
...it raises the big question.... "What if...heaven really exists."

I picked this book up at a thrift store awhile back; it took me awhile to read because I was fascinated by it and read it closely. I'm interested in angel stories lately, Biblical and otherwise, and the late Pastor Roland Buck's account is quite intriguing. Interestingly, I couldn't find the edition I read; the cover shown is very different. The cover of the edition I read reminded me of Hal Lindsay books from back in the day; kind of cheesy, dated, '70s kind of cover with stylized letters, a dark blue background, and a picture of the planet with what looks like a meteorite headed toward it (an angel, I guess).

We don't talk about angels much in the church; maybe the idea is somewhat of an embarrassment, and there's a feeling that it's sort of like talking about leprechauns when part of the discusison isn't Lucky Charms. My interest began when I read Matthew 18:10, a verse not in the preaching lectionary, which I felt I'd never really noticed before. In that verse, Jesus says, ‘Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones [he's holding a child]; for, I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven.'

So my study of angels continues with this account; it certainly didn't disappoint me. Buck was an Assembly of God pastor, and I'm pretty sure that my theology is so different than theirs in enough ways that it's hard to see where both orientations are coming from the same religion. In his visits from angels, his theology is challenged; at one point, he says that what they are saying differs from his theology and he hears back that God isn't trying to compare the message to Buck's theology.

Buck struggles with much of what he hears, and there's still a ton of emphasis on, for instance, the atonement, and the blood of Jesus, both of which have been fairly foreign to my own thinking. But he makes an interesting case about them both that got me thinking about it; I'm willing to be challenged on things, but often the challenges just aren't very challenging!

As I went searching for more information on Buck, I found a 14-page paper from 1980, "A Paper from the Former Melodyland School of Theology," which, from a cursory look, appears to be mostly a refutation of Buck's theology. I'll be interested to read it. Meanwhile, I'm still ruminating on an interesting theological perspective. And wishing I could have an angelic visit. Sort of. Although I think I'd probably faint dead away out of fear!

I have mixed emotions about this book. I got it from a very dear friend who is one of the morst spiritul christians I know. She told me how much this book encouraged her. Perhaps this made me expect too much.

I'm always sceptical when I book tries to tell me "new revelations and new truths".

Who woudn't like to discuss God's plan with angels like Gabriel and Michael? Who wouldn't want to visit God's throne room? Roland Buck claimed that experienced just that. I'm sure he himself believed every word. But I can't help having doubts. These angels don't behave as the angles in the bible.

I can't fathom God giving him a paper with 120 prophecies (with concrete dates and names!), but the next day of the paper there are left only ashes.

The book sure contains truth about God's love and Jesus' sacrifice, about grace and forgiveness, obviously pastor Roland needed the angels to understand these thruths.

The bible says that we are sent to go and make disciples and the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts to convince and translate. It's not the angel's role to bring people to Jesus.

I can't say enough good things about this book! So inspiring and intriguing that once you start reading it, you'll be hard-pressed to put it down! A must read for anyone that believes God is supernatural

This book is a classic and can be read again and again to encourage our faith. Roland Buck relates his supernatural encounters with angels bearing messages of God's love for us today to encourage and remind us that God has not left us to flounder on our own but is with us every day watching over us , involved in every detail of our life and using HIS messengers angels to intervene constantly, though we know not when it happens. Such significant messages that were so encouraging to me: If there is one believer praying in a family, they are highly favored by God and so are those being prayed for. God continually sends HIS angels to minister salvation to them and if they reject what is presented to them ,He starts the cycle again. He never gives up on the people you love, because He loves them even more then we do. Also God has forgiven every sin we have ever committed , and you can review your past sins here as I did while reading this, and realize not only are they forgiven but completely forgotten as they never existed. I can took this to heart and began to realize that every sin that has overcome me in my past and every wrong choice I've made, is forgotten by God, as if it never happened, and will never be brought up again by HIM. I knew this but now after reading this and hearing this message relayed in a supernatural way, understand it more in my spirit. Then angels spoke of the priorities being the Word of God, Fellowship and communion with God,The Holy Spirit working through us, which gives us more power and authority to live a blameless and Holy life for Him , the atonement and blood of Christ and His return. One of the best books I have read in a long time that brought such encouragement to my soul. God is still using supernatural encounters to get our attention as He did in His Word, Old and New testament. His Word never changes and neither will HE.

The book Angels on Assignment was referred to me by my loving partner Josh, i was truly enlightened, curious and amazed on something in the spiritual realm and amazing wonders of God. It helped me in my faith walk with God also the sacrifices of Jesus Christ 🤍🤍🤍

God is always with us, sometimes we are just so blinded by pleasures, complaints and such that we tend to forget the very reason why we are still here and why He loved us so much. He send His Angels and doing His work everyday on this earth to keep us from things we don’t even know/aware of.

What struck me most and made me cry is His Amazing and beautiful love for us. When Angel Gabriel leave Chroni and Ronald buck at his house, God had given Chroni permission to answer questions whichever ronald buck may have in mind.
Chroni discussed about their works as an Angel, Chroni mentioned the another responsibility angels have, and that is to take care of the wicked and ungodly people. Chroni emphazised this.
“You can never comprehend the depth of God’s love because it is too Great” It is so amazing to see how people can curse and hate God and turn their backs on Him, and yet God’s arms keep reaching out because He loved them so much. 🥺😭. God is so good to us despite of the sins and mistakes we do. We people just remember Him if we are happy, sad and we need something from Him. But when we get all we want or if we don’t. We immediately ignore, curse and question Him.
It was easy for us to complain and not be mindful of the things He do for us. All we do is take and take and take. And when we do something great for Him, it was like we are expecting some reward out of it, as if it was something to be proud of. That’s just not right. Everyday we should be thankful and grateful for Him and for His grace to us. With or without a reward. Lonely or not lonely. Happy or not happy. We should thanked Him and worship Him.

This book is for everyone, believer or non-believer. This book will give you an assurance that God has His hand in everyone’s life and really cares about on every little things. He bas Angels assignments to you and to every member of your family. They are on assignment to the saved and unsaved. This book will truly bless you! ♥️
You won’t regret every page of this and you will more appreciate God’s purpose and love for us. And the sacrifice and love of Jesus our Savior. 🤍

An interesting book, one pastor’s experience with angelic encounters. Written in the 1970’s and including some commentary on the state of the human condition at that time, it reads as though it could have been written today. Read as part of a wider study on angels. This book throws up some very interesting questions.

I believe there are angels, and that they appear to individuals, I can assume.
No problem with that.
However, in this book I read things that seem really implausible to me. It is doubtful that the main angels (Gabriel and Michael) visit this regularly an individual while this has never been the case in Bible stories. But even more, I lost all belief when I read teachings on grace, atonement and especially eschatology, where I should 100% believe it because an angel would have said this....
The message given is in my opinion not in line with what the Bible teaches (the eschatology and doctrine on hell for sure) that is looks like the writer's imagination has gone wild...
I do not recommend this book.

I can't say my relationship with God was forever changed by this book. But I can say the way I look at my relationship with the Lord is completely changed. I always felt a heaviness of the fact that judgment day was coming. Now I feel relieved that I have already been forgiven fro my past transgressions and their is no record of them in heaven. I am free from sin. I believe every word Roland Buck said. I believe he saw angles, and I believe that the visited him in little old Boise, Idaho. I can say that this book is worth reading. I had sections where I found myself reading past my bedtime for sure, read this book. You might just learn a new perspective on an old thought.

Poorly written, with a great overabundance of exclamation marks, but not entirely without worth. Roland Buck obviously had many spiritual encounters that bolstered his faith a great deal, and I find that to be encouraging in my own faith, whether or not his experiences are particularly relatable. Mostly this book provided some historical insight into the church movement of the era.

Buck presents some encouraging ideas, but his writing style is just plain bad.

Almost every paragraph has a sentence (sometimes multiple ones) that ends in an exclamation point.
One paragraph had four sentences and each one ended in an exclamation point.

Add to that the fact his ideas are ones you can find in dozens of other books, and there's not much reason to read this.

Very important book.

God is still working today through his angelic army. My family knew of this man, and he was not the type to write something like this unless it really happened. May God tune our hearts to hear.

Beautiful!

This book reveals so much about the love 💘 of GOD. That the LORD is with people who are hurting: and that brought tears to my eyes, for i was hurting then. This connected to me: as it did to me, it will do the same to you as well.

Wow. If everyone read this book and truly took to heart what Roland says, I believe it would transform entire nations. For anyone who has ever wondered why God created us, or what our purpose as humans is, this book dives deep into the heart of God for humans. One of my favourite books ever

I read this book about six months ago. After I finish reading it, I realize that there is more to "Faith" than I thought. The supernatural is indeed a real experience. I learn a lot. Love it.

I lived in Boise, ID for 22+ years. I met a lady by the name of Ronnie who attended Roland Bucks church in the 70's. She recommended the book to me and told me God wanted me to read it, no joke. I read the book and liked it and found it interesting. It seemed like a pretty legitimate story to me. Although I must say, something didn't quite feel right. Being somewhat ignorant of paying attention to the theology lining up with the Word of God, I read through it with some excitement. I've only recently discovered it goes completely outside the Bible on many occasions. Below is a link of the very bad theology in the book. Avoid this book at all costs. It does NOT line up with the word of God. https://www.cbn.com/spirituallife/Bib...

I do believe in angelic encounters so I don’t deny the truth of this book. I’m researching angels right now and this did give me a interesting insight to angels, their mission and even their outer appearance. I also loved the little insights to God. However, I felt like I was being preached at the entire time.

I'm presently writing the second book in a fictional series entitled, Angelic Army Conquests, and read Angels on Assignment for research purposes. I found Roland's accounts of his Angelic encounters the most interesting parts of the book, especially when he found the high ranking angelic waring angels had come to visit his home one night and were directing warfare from his living room. Arch Angel Michael suddenly showing up was a great surprise. He's an angel that is featured in my books. Gabriel is as well.

All the angels Roland encountered directed him to the truths found in the Bible, and gave him a better understanding of the scriptures. They also told him of future events, and gave him specific names of people he would meet to confirm the genuineness of the visitations. They focused his attention on Jesus, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, and worked in conjunction with the Holy Spirit.

Overall the book encouraged me that God is on the job. His angels are watching over us, and we do not need to be afraid. It was a great resource for research, and confirmed much of what I already wrote in my fictional books.

Cleaning out some shelves I came across this book that I had read ages ago. It is the story of angelic visitations that have happened in Pastor Roland Buck's life. It is his encounters and messages from the angels.
