How to Turn Thoughts Into Things

Rate this book
One of the most difficult things to overcome in our lives is a scarcity mentality - that there's a limited amount of blessings in the world. In this book, you'll be delivered from this mental prison. You'll again meet the God of abundance, not the God of scarcity. And Bo doesn't believe in luck. He believes in blessing. Luck is based on chance. But blessing is 100 percent sure.

Here’s another book written by the same author of the first two books in my reading challenge. Just like all the others, it’s an easy read. It was filled with everyday short stories anyone can relate to, matched with beautiful verses from the Bible.

If you are familiar with the “The Secret”, this book says the same. It simply reminds that the entire physical and spiritual universe around us is conspiring, plotting and conniving to give us massive abundance. It claims that Positive Thinking and Generosity can create life-changing results. That to be able to receive, we must learn to give as well.

Here’s a simple illustration I like:
Imagine you have a big fish bowl filled with ordinary grey stones. Then, there’s a gold nugget. Even if you wanted to put the gold nugget inside the bowl, you couldn’t. Because it was already filled with stones.

Similar in real life. We cannot get better blessings if there’s no space to receive it. That’s the first reward of giving – space. Space means we can grow. The more we give, the more we create space for God’s new blessings.

“Remember, when we don’t receive much, the problem is not with the Giver. The problem is with the Receiver. The Lord wants to give more in our lives, but the Receiver has not created enough space to receive more.”

I know, sometimes it can be hard to think positive. Or to give when you feel that you don’t have enough. But let’s always choose to do something bigger than ourselves.

I might find myself in a minority here but this book is poorly written, even just the idea of this is that this hasn't been given much thought by the author. Other reviews said that this resembles The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, now, I can see why The Secret has been hated by a lot of people. And I'm never reading that book. This here is enough. This delusional book right here is too much.

"Bo believes that poverty is hugely a product of people's low financial I.Q."
WTF did I just read? Like, really, what the eff is that? And he said he reads a lot of books? I'm sure he hasn't read enough books. Plus, he needs to know that he's speaking in a privileged position. Talk a lot about farming and harvesting, that he missed the chance to have an analogy about farmers and REAL farming and harvesting. That's a disrespect to them ya know.

Another problem that I have with this book is that - this didn't even answer the title of this book itself. It's just a bunch of short stories that he forcefully connects with anything he wants. And that rape joke in the middle of the book just makes this much worse. Though one thing is for sure, he didn't just love God too much, he also loves MONEY too much. Jesus Christ, it's the only thing he talks about in the later parts of the book.

Hell, this is cringe, delusional, and unbelievable. Ayooo people, wake up. He writes books for the money that he can have.

I really like the way Bo Sanchez writes his books. Clear, simple, and understandable. Truly, that was his gift right there in communication. Specifically for this book, though, a topic on page 46 stroked the most. It's on making oneself good at one thing (superstar). I was giggling along the narrative on that one, too. Massage therapists are quite hard on my back spasms as well, I kind of resent them for it. But what can I say (going back to 'Ate Guy'), she quite have found her niche... That's something ideal rather than sticking as a jack-of-all-trade, multi-tasker or generalist. Must be nice to be known for something... Something that corresponds the unique person that we all are. Right?

There's always some valuable insights to learn I every time I read a Bo Sanchez book, and for this one it's the true value of giving, that storing riches in heaven means storing and nurturing love here on earth, and that heaven can be found in our little world, through generosity and empathy towards others. Some people say that reading this book is like reading Rhonda Byrne's The Secret, but i disagree. Although some of their beliefs about the universe is similar, HTTTIT has more heart, is more Jesus-oriented, and was a far more enjoyable read.

The world will change once you learn the SECRET! The book "The Secret" is the alter-ego of "How to Turn Thoughts into Things". I've read it since last semester. It simply reminds that the entire physical and spiritual universe around us is conspiring, plotting and conniving to give us massive abundance. It claims that Positive Thinking and Generosity can create life-changing results. :' >

"I believe that God blesses us when we are generous to him." -Bo Sanchez

I love these lines as it simply reminds us on how to be grateful in every blessings we receive, it could be small or big ones.. But of course we should not forget to give thanks to the giver, by simply sharing our blessing to others too.
