About the

Born in Chennai in 1962 and raised in Mumbai the author was nurtured as a multi-lingual, multi-cultural cosmopolitan youth. His entrepreneurial parents and spiritual and intellectual grandparents shaped his character and love of books at an early age.

Taking on the responsibilities of the family when his dad was immobilized briefly, the author became an entrepreneur himself while making progress on his inward spiritual journey as well.

Through this book, he seeks to share transformational experiences of himself and others who recovered from seemingly incurable conditions by finding their Happy Place within.

Awareness first comes from being aware of yourself, which is in itself a lifelong journey, thus to better understand ourselves and the world around us we need to embark on a holistic journey of healing and wellbeing. 'Awareness Journey' is a step towards realising this goal. It is a process to adapt in our lifelong journey so that we can grow spiritually, emotionally and mentally. The author went to create a six month mentoring course consisting of six modules to guide us through this journey. This book is the 'book one' in a series of five books.

'Awareness Journey' is a nonfiction, self-help book to heal you emotionally and spiritually through the process of energy healing. This book guides us through energy healing to achieve optimum health and overall wellness. It includes almost a full month course of life transforming journey, each day dedicated to specific exercises to heal your body from inside out. This book speaks on some practical yet overlooked aspects of health like sleep and calm mind. It has strike a balance between spiritual and physical well-being. But things went downhill for me after couple of chapters.

I did not like the fact that for every chapter and or exercise I've to go through the provided YouTube video links, not only it's a bit tedious, it's downright annoying to see links pasted in every other page. Things were repetitive. The narrative is very slow, instead of going deeper into some aspects it goes like a bunch of conversations, which made it so difficult for me to connect with this book. It may have important lessons but the way it was presented did not add value to my life.

Awareness journey by Selvan Srinivasan is a zestful and spirited book about understanding emotions and energies in the human body.



This book guides us to have a healthy life both physically and mentally. "The thinking mind can perceive only one thing at a time, but the aware mind is able to perceive everything in the here and now simultaneously"(Quoted from the text). I was just impressed by these lines and that force made me to endure this journey. The content was fresh and energetic read from all other self help book. The book was written almost in a fictional narration which grabs the readers' attention easily. FGCB concept, what helps to run a marathon, how habits are formed, freedom from sufferings, what energy body is? Where is it ?, energy movements, five years into the future and the book holds so many interesting, evolving,radiating, rising and reflective adventures.



Add on's like take aways after completing each day , practical links and codes not only to read but get the live exercises clearly, lists and columns to distinguish ideas accurately and movements are show in step by step pictures. All together makes this a good piece of work and it really awakens our minds. It's a complete package of human wellbeing activities.

Awareness Journey is an amazing book for self-transformation, written by Selvan Srinivasan. In the present-day modern lifestyle, everyone has been living a stressful life, and the balance is missing. We also lose touch with our inner selves. This wonderful book gives a programme that anyone can adopt to reconnect with their inner selves and transform their lives into happier and stress-free ones.

The book, although a non-fiction/self-help book, has an element of storytelling as the author has presented everything through the character of Ayushi. All chapters have key takeaways listed at the end. This book is a comprehensive, step-by-step guide towards wellness. It is also very holistic, covering everything from mental and physical health to nutrition. It is a very practical and insightful book. Many of the concepts in it were new to me, which made this a very interesting read. It is a great book, and I think everyone can really benefit from this book.

If you want to start with mindfulness, I couldn't recommend this book enough. Like a lot of people, I had the Headspace app, and sort of dabbled with it a little. This book really clarifies the foundations and process around being mindful. It's written in a masterful way, using simple language and analogies, to convey exactly what the author wants to pass on to the reader. I can honestly say that this book has had a very positive effect on me. I now understand the principles of mindfulness, and how to go-about practising it properly. I think from what I've written above, you can guess I would recommend this to anyone that wants to start living their life in a mindful manner. Big thanks to the author.

“Awareness Journey” is one of the best self help book I’ve ever read. Author has done a remarkable job in writing this book; writing style, the way he has presented the book and the pattern in which the book is written. In this book unrealistic exercise and task are not required to be done, very practical and helpful things are to be done by the person who is following. Books like these are a must read in today’s time because nowadays everyone is going through stress which gets prolonged and turns into anxiety disorders, the practices which are recommended in this book are the first step for stress management which eliminate the possibility of any major problem at the initial stage. This book is based on a concept that is known to very few and that is why I liked this book so much because author introduced this topic to the people in a correct way and also educated them. After reading the book I can tell that author has written this book after a lot of experience in his life and he has done a lot of research before writing this book because he was factually correct everywhere.

I started reading this book in my vacations and I took it as a challenge to follow this book exactly as suggested by the author because I became just like Ayushi during my break and I wanted to change myself before the break was over. After 9 days I personally was able to see some significant changes in myself and after completing the book when the break was over, I received a lot of compliments from my mates and teachers. Author has also suggested Creative Visualisation in this book which is one of the major practise for stress management. A.A.A.A exercise to get relief from headaches benefitted me a lot. The best part is that the author focuses on the wellbeing of the person which is necessary for a healthy life. I personally recommend this book to everyone, even if you think you are healthy then also try reading this book once you are only going to gain from this book. Just do what the author says step by step and you will be completely person once you finish this book.

It begins with brief explanation of author's awareness journey along with his personal and professional life. His life story itself will give an awakening and his course of this awareness to get healed was executed well through the conversational pattern with Ayushi for a better understanding for the readers. Moreover, the author called this as an invitation to experience the awareness to get healed from sufferings. He invited to join and embark this amazingly adventurous journey into all the five aspects of our awareness.

This book guides us through energy healing and transformation with some activities to achieve optimum health and overall wellness. It includes almost a full-month course of life transforming journey, each day dedicated to specific exercises to heal your body from inside out. It balances both physical and spiritual health with some practical aspects of health like sleep and calm mind.

Deep crossing and energy movements are explained neatly with wonderful illustrations. However, in every chapter or exercises provided with YouTube video links are breaking the continuous and deep reading to indulge with the deep sense of grasping the concepts and facts that has been explained. It’s actually annoying to see the links in every other page. The narrative is very slow and lagging with some sense of deep insight instead its full of simple conversation.

The practice of gratitude journaling, dump journaling, and the use of "done and to-do" lists which are recommended in between the course can be incredibly beneficial to the readers for their personal growth. The book cover exudes positivity and the title is fitting to it. The takeaways from each chapter and the notes provided are helpful as a guide to the readers. A good read and will be effective when the courses are followed.

This book of Selvan is on awareness about within. The book reads like an experience, more than just a journal or conversation between two people. Being aware of our body, mind, energy, and breathing is critical to heal us from within and to put us in a default happy mode.

The book covers the awareness journey of Aayushi, which she takes with her mentor Selvan, also known as Oogway, a name inspired by Kung Fu Panda movie.

Segmented into many modules, each one is further divided into sub topics. The program starts with focus given to energy and conscious breathing. The awareness journey dwells on energy. Our physical body is under the energy body. So, if there is a change in energy, it is going to affect physical body too.

Throughout the book, the mentor laid insistence on conscious breathing, tapping, deep crossings, energy moments, and fixed gazing and conscious breathing (FGCB). The book is not a give only or keep stuffing knowledge. Selvan narrates various anecdotes from his personal life.

If pinpointing the USPs of the book, it is clear that the set of energy movements (EMs), deep crossings (DC), FGCB are prominent. For EMs, you can visit the YouTube channel of Selvan and even for DC and other knowledge. And before a chapter ends, the author comes up with a transcript of the audio. So the readers either can listen to the audio or read that transcript. The book explains mental shift, gratitude, creative visualization, habits and much more in a lucid way with proper examples so the journey becomes smooth and seamless. Grounding, sleep deprivation, dump journaling, acceptance…and many more are the stand out life lessons which can be utilized by normal folks as well.

Living a life is one part of our existence. And living a life with awareness is treasured and most valuable. Awareness could be various types and could be achieved by many ways and methods. Each one’s awareness journey is distinct and brims with its own sets of learning.

In this book of Selvan Srinivasan, the awareness journey is taken by his mentee Ayushi, a young woman with difficult past and traumatic experiences. The genuine point to discuss here is that Selvan is not an empirical coach, he tested and trialed the awareness exercises and ways first on himself when he took retirement from his business. So, whatever hacks he is offering aren’t only effective but proven with the mettle of time.

The book doesn’t go like a stereotype. It is a combination of videos of YouTube, audio clips, and written content – the creator is one – that is Selvan. Divided into many modules, runs for many days, both the mentor and mentee win heart in the journey. The broad offering from the book is its Energy orientation. Yes, energy is everything in any awareness journey. It builds us, rejuvenates us, and helps in rebooting our senses and mind. Set of 8 energy movements and fixed gazing conscious breathing is a superb take away from the book. The body and the mind turns receptive to it, I personally tried on while reading the book.

The expanse of the book is vast and the author’s magical voice on that sound app augments the overall experience. " Awareness Journey " by Selvan Srinivasan is an amazing guide to heal oneself . It is written in a unique way and it takes us on a transformational path with a blend of gripping storytelling and impactful guidance .

The book consists of 326 pages. A unique way of index is shown by the author. I really enjoyed this insightful book. It is so clearly and logically organised as well as being extremely readable. This Story is easy to negotiate and it flows seamlessly. I have no authority to call the book bad. Because I was fascinated by the back cover of the book and it was the first time I got attracted to the name. Moreover, from the quality of the page to the description of the book, the author's choice of language, the specification of the language, the consonance of the language, everything has been shown to be skillful. This book has been a gentle and incredibly supportive guide throughout my ongoing healing journey. I read this book a couple of times. The first time I read it in a few sittings, it was a fascinating read to trace Ayushi’s path to The Happy Place. I especially loved the ways in which the book connects inner healing with nature and the universe. That we are all connected to the expansive space and the ground right underneath us is one that helps me feel grounded and supported.

I recommend this book to anyone who would like to explore and understand more regarding their inner self. Grab the book, it won't let you get bored at any point. This book is a page turner from beginning to end. Language is simple with a good vocabulary. The author has done a great job.

You will not be disappointed if you want to read and complete.

Awareness Journey is the book one in the Happy Place Module, written by Selvan Srinivasan. Unlike any other self-help or improvement book, it’s not a banal; rather have a conversational backdrop between two characters: Oogway the mentor and Ayushi his mentee.

Ayushi had been living an extremely busy chaotic life due to her disturbed past and childhood. Mentally she is perturbed and physically uncomfortable due to rashes and boils. Through a friend she gets in touch with Selvan for a wellness and healing program. The book recounts their experience as a mentor and student. The book’s focus is to bring the sufferer to a happy place which is not external, rather one can find within by taking an awareness journey.

Segmented into twelve chapters, the modules lasts around 21 days, Ayushi gets a new life from being illness to a balanced wellness. By understanding energy one can get in the cycle of healing. Right at the beginning, the author introduces Energy Movements (EMs), Deep Crossings (DC), and Fixed Gazing and Conscious Breathing (FGCB) – which are the basic building blocks of the healing process that they both exercise throughout the book. The nature of the book is not limited to a few tips and strategies, it is rather all encompassing. People looking for self-exploration, self-transformation, and seeking solutions to self-awareness must pick it up.

Another great aspect of the book is links to videos and audio clips, much part of the book can be grasped by it, which makes the book lighter to comprehend. Selvan’s mentoring towards healing is authentic and engrossing as both take the sessions without panache of sophistication and inhibition.

‘Awareness Journey’ by Selvan Srinivasan is the first of the five books in the series. The book is about finding your Happy Place within through six guided modules.

When I picked up the book, I thought it would be like the Secret - manifesting your happiness sort of thing. I didn’t expect anything new out of it, so I was happy to receive the opposite. The book has many techniques, explained in detail, mainly concentrating on our energy field and replenishing it for a better life. The author states that before things enter our physical state of being, it first attacks our energy state. Tackling the issues by cleansing our energy field of any negativity helps it from physically affecting us. The thoughts are great and positive. There are also QR codes leading to guided video movements. I believe they are much more useful than written texts.

As a book, it can get boring since exercises written down don’t have much luster. I felt myself wandering off again and again since the discussions between the two protagonists didn’t offer me anything new. The movement names often confused me. I can’t vouch for the authenticity of the movements or if it will help or not, but it won’t hurt to try. I think I might give it a try, too, probably through the videos than the book. Maybe the book can guide me on the sequence of things.

Some call it "Energy healing," while others name it "Self Help or Healing." I had no idea what it was until I read this fascinating book by author Selvan Srinivasan.

With Arushi's practise, queries and feedbacks author scribed this remarkable book which talks about how one may not only repair physical health condition but also his/her relationships and profession by just showing up consistency and tenacity and going through this "Awareness Journey".

This awareness journey discusses how to prepare for a journey, the importance of wishful thinking, creative visualisation and fantasy, openness, curiosity, unconscious energy and posture, energy, focus, clearing movements, understanding body sensations and emotions, the benefits of gratitude, how to stay physically fit and free from infections and diseases, how to maintain body health, and how to maintain body fitness. temperatures, instill new behaviours Listening to and speaking to your subconscious mind, stretching your awareness, anchoring, healthy habits, bringing compassion and kindness, improving your sleep cycle, and, last but not least, being joyful are all important.

The author has written workouts that are so basic and straightforward that anyone can perform them and feel so good about themselves. This is a book that contains secrets to living a healthy life. I genuinely felt light and more energised after reading and trying certain exercises. The author's explanation is highly fascinating and educational, therefore I urge that everyone read it.

Some people call it “Energy healing” some call it “Self Help or healing”, well I never understood what it is till the time I read this interesting book written by author Selvan Srinivasan.

Through Arushi’s practise, questions and feedbacks author scribed this amazing book which talks about how one can not only heal physical health condition but also his/her relationships and career by simply showing up consistency and persistence and going through this “Awareness Journey”.

This awareness journey talks everything about preparing for a journey, giving importance to Wishful thinking, creative visualisation and fantasy, openness, curiosity, unconscious energy and posture, energy, focus, clearing movements, understanding body sensations and emotions, benefits of gratitude, how to remain physically fit and free from infections and diseases, maintain body temperatures, inculcate new habits, Listen and speak to your sub conscious mind, Stretching your awareness, grounding, healthy habits, bring compassion and kindness, improve sleep cycle and last but not the least being happy.

Author has penned down exercises that are so simple and easy that they can make anyone so strong and help feel so good about itself. This is a book which consists of secrets to a healthy life. I actually felt light and more energetic after reading and practising some exercises. Authors explanation is very interesting and informative therefore I recommend everyone to read it.

Awareness Journey by Selvan is one of the impactful, thought-provoking, genuine and deep remarks upon one's lifestyle and, mental and physical maintenance. Selvan has been thoughtful and clear throughout this book while deriving 'awareness journey' through Ayushi and her mentor, Oogway.
Ayushi Venkatesan, a 32 years old lady had a traumatic up-bringing due to her parents' separation. Later, met with the same fate in her marriage too. She has been signified as a classy working woman who was least bothered of her own self before Naaz suggested her an online meditation group.
The Author has divided this book in 12 so thoughtful and encouraging chapters to let the readers cultivate healthy habits and improved striving, thinking and working ethics. The entire awareness journey really brought drastic change in Ayushi and her lifestyle where she was able to experience her better prospects towards almost of the aspects of her life. She now adopted Yoga, meditation, nature, grounding, compassion and other such important parameters.
Selvan's various turnovers throughout this book were no less than challenging but impactful and inspiring outcomes for we readers. It let me to get through so much of the 'Happy Place Module'

This is a must read book for all those who are willing to give more attention and concern to themselves and cultivate better living habits in them to bring a new 'self' as it can ultimately inspire anyone for a new beginning. Readers can get really helpful references too at the end!

The book blew me away for several reasons, firstly the book has a sweet back cover and the opening is really quirky and adorable. And just reading the index will tell you how lovely and fancy the book is going to be. A poignant emotion will be evoked and the beautiful description of the poignant language at every moment is capable of creating a situation in which any reader becomes enthralled.

Congratulations to the author Selvan Srinivasan for writing a wonderful book which will not only keep you hooked till the last page, but also force you towards deep thinking. The concept of the book is interesting, engaging and unique. The narration is really fast paced. And the storytelling style is really amazing and it can make the readers totally engaged with the book. This book demonstrates a set of practices – a way of life, that you could easily learn to help you to return back from your state of restlessness to your Happy Place within. Awareness Journey is the actual life-transforming journey travelled by the author from illness to wellness, from being an emotional wreck to channeling the same emotions to fuel the growth into maturity and wisdom.
The final scenes & climax to the novel are truly compelling, pulling the reader more deeply into its raw energy & spiritual awakening.
This was a great read. I would like to recommend this book to my fellow readers.

This book is so good to read , trust me, this is everyone needs right, who ever going through something like off or who ever going to prepare them for face things like big.
Each one of them need to read this. This one gives you healing, thoughts to go through, acceptance of life, it may be sad or happy. Self observation and all.

You know what, in this running like, we're like runners going to get everything we wanted always but in this journey there are times we really forgot our own selves untill some one tells you that "hey, you look dull today" Or if someone asks you well being and all, that time we look into ourselves in the mirror think about it right.
Author exactly talked about this and I really think it's good thing that author written that, our health and being fit healthy with in this full of electronical world, this is must need for everyone in this world.

Whatever you do or how much money you have end of the day, we all need rest and good health to enjoy evey thing right.

This is like, author was talking to through this book, sounds silly, but trust me, there are times I skippee lunch because of my work and all. There are times I skipped just few mins exercise and all. Because of this, I faced many issues with my body. Right now, this book is much more to me. Not thay, you need to be slim and all, being healthy is different and being slim not eating at all is different.
