This book deals with high school-age students and especially Ashley. She is trying to keep her life from falling apart with unrealistic expectations and being a lone wolf. You see, her stress, health, and school suffer as she tries to cope. It's scary when you realize how easy it would be for anyone, not just students, to deal with things on their own. Asking for help is not cowardly, it's strength.

Ashley's got a tough time ahead of her. It's the first day of the semester, and she's already generated enough gossip for the whole year.

She's returning to school as a single ex-model who got out of a lucrative modeling contract because they wanted her to wear fur. To make matters worse, her mom's battling breast cancer, and her friend is going on a foreign exchange trip.

Left to cope alone, Ashley turns to all-natural pep and sleeping pills. Her lack of sleep and drug-induced states are taking a toll on her. Can she rise above her troubles and survive the school year - or will she have a serious crash and burn?

DEFINITELY NOT CAMELOT is a great book for teens who are dealing with a lot of stress. The main character is memorable, and her problems are believable and easy to relate to. The plot is fairly complex and holds the reader's interest.

Those who like realistic fiction, school stories, and books dealing with teen problems will all enjoy reading this book.

It was a quick enjoyable read.

We are back to Ashley crazy life. She is suffering with her sick mom. She broke up with her boyfriend. She is struggling to find her new self. I really did enjoy book 1 in the series and my expectations for book 2 were thankfully met.

Peters writing is so engaging and relatable. I mean, the main character is like every teenager girl, trying to survive this scary place called high school. But how are you suppose to survive when they are rumours about you all over the school? But from book 1, we know that Ashley is a strong character and she can handle it.

I loved Ashley even more in this book. She was a fun character. I felt Peters writing got better too from book 1. It was just so good.

Also, I admired how Peters hinted that social media could be harmful sometimes.

Overall, I think this book is so relatable to every girl's life and they should read it.

Ashley is a sophomore who is known by her peers for her beauty. She quit modeling because she refused to wear fur, and she decides to audition for the school play. Some of her classmates are jealous and they start rumors in an attempt to undermine her accomplishments. In addition to this, Ashley's mother is undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and Ashley searches for a cure for her mother's nausea and fatigue. This book tackles many issues, and I found it to be engaging and applicable to teens today.
