Three enchanting stories in paperback book set from Ireland's finest young talent and author of the bestseller PS, I Love You (now a major Hollywood film).
Cecelia Ahern was born and grew up in Dublin. She is now published in nearly fifty countries, and has sold over twenty-five million copies of her novels worldwide. Two of her books have been adapted as films and she has created several TV series.
“Our life is made up of time. Our days are measured in hours, our pay measured in those hours, our knowledge measured in years. We grab a quick few minutes in our busy day to grab coffee break. We rush back to our desks, we watch clock, we live appointments. And yet time eventually runs out and you wonder in your heart of hearts if those seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years and decades were being spent the best way they possibly could….”
I liked an interesting style this book is written in, never read a book consisted of notes passed in school, emails, instant messages, text messages between all the characters. And the romantic story itself touched me.
"Thanks for the Memories"
This book didn't catch me, was booring to read. Have no idea, why it got so many prizes?
Especially love "Where rainbow ends" just simply want to read it again and again. If you could see me now is really fun to read, and strongly prove the creative brain of Ahern. The romance in the story is also very beautiful . A place called here is extremely touching. It makes me believe more in the fact that: true love is true :D
A friend gave me Where Rainbows End as a gift, and although it wasn't my sort of read, I read it and ended up loving it! I am now a fan of Cecelia Ahern's!
I read ‘Where Rainbows End’. I liked the way the story unfolded through letters, cards, email, text message, IM and chat rooms. I liked the premise of divine timing, sliding doors, missed opportunities and bad luck. I loved the description, particularly Rosie’s. However, it’s just not my best read.
I thoroughly enjoy Cecelia Aherns Writting style, it seems to always have me interested. I particularly love "where rainbows end" I have never fell more Inlove with a book more then this! I have read it 3 times and could simply continue to read it over and over again. It's actually inspired me to read more and more. I couldn't ever put this book down since day 1 that I got it. It really attached my feelings. Everyone must read it!
"Where Rainbows End" I read it when I was in college and I loved it! It's romantic as hell and it made me cry, but in a very good way. If I read it now, I probably wouldn't be as touched as I was 4 years ago. Nevertheless, it's a really good book and it's cleverly written, in the form of a dialogue between the two main characters. I definitely recommend it, especially if you're an incurable romantic. :)
I haven't read 'A place called here' so i can't comment on that. Even though I hate books that are all about letter -maybe because i started off with a bad one- i loved where rainbows end. I admit I would act selfish when it comes to love but this book totally changed my mind. I always believed that you can't get to know the character by reading letters, well I was wrong with that, too. There is just not enough words to describe how i felt when the books were finished.
"A place called here" is one of my absolute all time favorite novels. It has the "fairy tales + modern world" that I just luuuuve about Cecilia Ahern's books.
"If you could see me now" is nice but the protagonist is a bit depressing.
"Where rainbows end" is just lovely.
All in all these are three AMAZING books from my favorite author.
They are friends, like each other well enough. They are just friends with bubbling feelings. It is a long term love story in which they come closer and move away a number of times. When one is ready, the other is not. There are marriages and kids in between. They finally meet when they are in their fifties.
Seems this book is a bit like every ones lives. with scrap book style the stories mapped out in letters ..emails and texts as the years and years slip by.
How fate and just going from one day to another can twist and turn.
yes not a bad read but the happy ending was always coming...was it not?
Great boxset and all the books were of very different story yet all seemingly simialr. Great for a gift or easy keeping though i would really like the original bigger books since the books in this box set is quite tiny in size.
"Where Rainbows End" was wow...I just could not believe that they had to wait for so long to be together.I guess we never really know what twists and turns the fate prepared for us.I liked it a lot and I would definitely recommend it.
What can I say I loved this book so much. I don't keep books but like to share them with friends but this one is a must to keep. I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to read this. Brilliant.
I've only read "Where the rainbows ends" as it was a gift to me 3 years ago, and what a gift it was. It was a great book with humor, despair and love. True love story between two long best friends who knew that somehow they were meant for each other. Definitely recommend it.
I loved the story line and the ending I hated. Lovely book and a great way of writing which allowed you to be glued to the book without even knowing. I have recommended it and I would again!
I have almost finished rainbows end, and I would recommend it to anyone, I think it's a fun book, which is written in a style that we don't see often so it lets the cecilia communicate with us better.
I feel in love with "Where Rainbows End". It's a different experience since the story consists of e-mails, notes and text messages. It also is very relatable and makes you appreciate a lot of stuff in life. Very recommendable!
I love Cecelia Ahern's novels. Unfortunately i was unable to find the single title of Where Rainbows End. However, after reading it i would easily suggest it to anyone! It is a heart warming tale that makes you believe in love again =)
WHERE RAINBOWS END: hopeless romantics will definitely love this book.I enjoyed reading and the style of writing made it all the more fun. It gives hope for love- simply heart warming and also very funny.
