This book was written in 1896 and at that time all the books and information was obsolete for many years. I found it very interesting. For my tastes the explanation of "Secrets" and all the titles mentioned was great. I did look up one of the books mentioned and it was being offered by a collector for $1000. My interest in "Secrets" came to me due to my Great Grandfather who had a very large book, in Italian. He practiced the "medicine" and actually had a great following. I do not know what happened to this book, but I think gardening, was one aspect of his practice. Herbology was only one subject written about in "Secrets"
