This is a great book to give a sound grounding in Flash. While the topics are covered fairly briefly, the examples are easy to follow and the topics looked at are enough to give the reader a good idea how to use Flash to produce fairly complicated animations, including embedding video, loading external content and optimising for the web, as well as the basics of drawing skills, layers, frames and a little actionscript.

Good book to get you started with building good websites in Flash. The book also only uses Actionscript 3.0 but lacked good explanations for the coding. It was a good thing i got "Learning ActionScript 3.0" with this book. The book is pretty thorough on listing all the most dominant features of Flash CS4 so i'll give it a good rating.

This book makes it pretty easy to follow and it made a beginner to Flash really understand what was going on and how to do certain things. Highly recommended.
