John, I am so happy that Wool inspired you to write your own novel. There is no question that Hugh Howely is a bestselling author; his blogs totally inspired me. It is VERY obvious that a LOT of people LOVED Wool; otherwise, he wouldn't have gone on to write five more. I am NOT overlooking that. But, I DO NOT want to read any more WOOL. You have to realize that not everybody can like the same thing, and thank God my opinion is not hindering Hugh Howey in any way. Therefore, please understand I was voicing my opinion and nothing can change the way I fell about it, and I would have to be a masochist to pick up that book again. It's just ONE book. One day I may read one of Howey's other books, but NOT WOOL!
OK - no one is saying you have to like it. I thought this was just a thread about Wool. These posts aren't saying you are wrong or that you personally have to read the book - these are just people saying they happened to like the book, that's all. I respect your opinion on the matter - I happen to like brussel sprouts but I can stand chicken mixed with fruit. To each his or her own.
