Julia Well, will it make more sense if you imagine that all these stuff never happened except James' death? James killed himself (so there is no James-from-the-future), so there is no Cassandra and no time-travelling. And that's why Finn and Nate are alive (they were killed by James-from-the-future, that, as we all know now, never existed)

Domenic If Em killed James, it would cause Em to not be able to use Cassandra (Not invented) to go and kill James. So when James killed himself with no time travel whatsoever, the doctor could never have brought the young Marina and Finn to his parent's house. So they were never there, but James was there to kill himself.
