Well, I am a mature reader and I am not saying my age so we are going to say I am somewhere between the ages of 10 to 13. I love her writing and do you thinkitbwould be possible just to skip the chapters that are not for my poor eyes.
For the 'women of the otherworld', I think the sex is part of the story, interaction, showing the power play between people and and you'll be skipping a lot. I had a higher reading level and was a mature reader at 12/13, but still found sex scenes boring until I was older. I would avoid it til you're 14/15.
