Thank you for clearing that up.
The one part I think doesn't make sense is Em remembering future - Finn after young Finn is killed. I'm not sure she'd even be at the cabin once he was gone, since he'd never have existed to help her get there. That said, I loved the book. :-)
Sotia I think with the paradox, she still had all of Em's memories, but thought of them more as like a dream. She would never become Em and the paradox removed Em from ever existing. So I think that Em's memories are almost a super realistic dream in Marina's head.
Domenic, I think I get what you're saying. Since Em is one version of future-Marina, her memories wouldn't be in Marina's head, but in whatever version of Em she grew up into without Finn, right?
Even if she had faded memories of future-Finn though, she might not even have ended up in that room if it weren't for him.
I think I'd like an extra line by the author, that showed they thought of every possibility.
I hope I make sense. Haven't had coffee yet.
