Suzevelin, that's exactly how I felt. "Cringe" is a good word. I was so disappointed when things started to turn in the second book. My heart broke for Will & that heartbreak only continued throughout the third book. He deserved all of Tessa. The trilogy left me sad for him. Cassandra barely gave him a yes to his proposal and just two pages later she was killing him off in the epilogue. She wrote more about Tessa getting reunited with Jem at the end… It just felt wrong. Still feels wrong Will is dead & Tessa and Jem are still together.
