Shivangi Even though I believe that Romeo and Juliet themselves were the reason behind their own deaths, I agree with your notion as their love wouldn't have been complicated if it wasn't for their families. For instance, the quote states, "A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life, Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Doth, with their death, bury their parents' strife. The fearful passage of their death-marked love And the continuance of their parents' rage" (Shakespeare). The quote demonstrates how the star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet face complications amidst their relationship due to their feuding families. As a result of their complicated love story, they take their own lives.

Aarna Suresh I liked this take on the reasoning behind their death. However the last sentence also makes me wonder if it was simply just Romeo and Juliet's fault for their death, as they knew the consequences, but yet still tried to follow through with their plans.
