I felt the author needed to let the story end either after book 1 or definitely by book 2. By the time I read book 3, I felt strongly that the storyline and characters were being milked to keep the story alive, which leads to all the unbelievable balony and ruins a perfectly good story. So, I'm with you....better to end a good story properly rather than keep extending it and extending it....
