Stephanie Boyles I'm with Sam. Rostov meets up with Katarina in the end. Anna didn't have any grey in her hair. Plus she would be so well known it would put them both at risk. And also agree fabulous book.

Kristin Several times during the novel Towles describes Anna as willowy. So I believe it is Anna he meets at the end of the novel.

Steve I don't think Mishka's poem condemned the Count to the hotel, rather it saved him from execution. It was due to the poem that some people thought of the Count as a friend of the revolution.

Susan Anna was the one who was always described as willowy. It is Anna he meets with in the end. Katarina is his reason for getting Sofia out or Russia. He does not want her to end up like Katarina.
