The books are tedious with lots of extra stuff. The problem is though, you don’t know if what you’re reading is something tedious or something that’s going to be incredibly important three thousand pages later lol. So, I’m assuming when something is in the show that seems tedious, that it’s probably related to something important that happens later.
Agreed! Tedious is the exact word, Mrsbooks and Veronica. Veronica, you should be awarded some sort of prize for perseverance.
I really wanted to get a red pen and edit her books. I found myself speed reading pages and that sucks when you love to read. Glad I am not alone in feeling this way. The rape scenes sickened me too.
Supposedly Gabaldon was asked about editing at a talk she was doing once, and she haughtily replied that she doesn't need an editor. But gurrrrl, you do need an editor!
