message 1: by Fiona (new)

Fiona When an author creates a whole lush realm and well-developed characters, there is no need for ostentatious drama. Think of Alfred Hitchcock's collections of short stories. What he chose (or his "people" on his account) in his compendiums were just as elegantly subtle as his movies without being over-the-top or in your face gory.

This story is lovely and complete without the low-key assault.
