Jennifer Tanko And both sides embraced it just because the war got so bad. History is rife with quick, poorly thought out compromises intended to end a war ASAP.

Okay, I'm glad I wasn't making that up. I had to rent the book from my school library, so I don't have my own copy to check.

Lily Oh! You're right, I completely forgot about when that happened. But I remember that when I heard that it didn't seem like an important enough detail to remember, if that makes sense. It just seems like such a lame excuse that was quickly thought up to fill in a gap. I mean, wouldn't someone have said something?!

IanGB Neal Shusterman is obviously a talented writer and I don't think he would have just dropped in a lame excuse. As I recall it was pretty well 'highlighted'
