Well hey, don't be like that. I didn't mean it to come out as me thinking I was right. I was just getting my point across. Jem is a favourite character of mine, sure, so I'll passionatley defend him, but I didn't mean for it to sound like that. I like Will too, and I am the first to admit that Tessa loves Will. I'm not one of these crazy Jem fans who denies that truth. I get that! I would just like the Will fans to also acknowledge it! CC herself has stated in interviews and on twitter & tumblr etc. that this is an EQUAL love triange. She wrote it to be that way. And as I was reading I could feel that. I could feel how Tessa was torn in half. I just never got that she loves Will more, especially since his behaviour towards her has given her no reason to love him as much as every Will fan believes she does, so I don't understand how she could. And also since she spent the majority of her time in CP with Jem. I do think she loves Will still, and the feelings she developed for him in CA are still there, but her scenes & interactions with Jem in this book have put him on equal footing with Will. I think that was CC's intention, so that CP2 would come down to Tessa's final decision. Which won't be an easy one. If we were led to believe she loves Will more at this point then it would be pretty predictable going into the last book, don't you think? This way, we don't know who she's going to choose.
Oh & about that other thing. I think she just thinks about Will when she is with Jem because Will is the only person she has ever kissed, been romantic with or considered in that light, until Jem. So in her head it is only natural for her to compare them, because her time and interactions with Will are all she knows of romance. He's her only frame of reference. That's how I understood it.
i know this is so old but i a re-reading the series and i totally agree. she loves will so much more. if he hadnt had the curse on him from the start she never would have loved jem.
