I agree that the end times may unfold differently. And many are skeptical of the "rapture." There is not many references to the rapture in the bible, with the exception of the parable told by Jesus.
The one thing that I do know and that most Biblical scholars agree on is this. Once the seven year peace treaty is signed between Israel and the middle east, the tribulation has begun.
I did love the series though. The prequels however, were awful and a clear attempt to keep something going that should have ended. But that is just my opinion.
G. A. Zanni. Yeah. The series should have seen an end at some point in time. Though I am a late reader, I do appreciate the drama like what the characters are going thru.
And I definitely look forward to reading Glorious Appearing and Kingdom Come. I heard there are elements in the second one my mom didn't get but I think I do.
Don't get me wrong. The stories are still okay, but not nearly as good and fresh as where it started. It seemed like Lahaye and Jenkins were just trying to capitalize by writing the prequels. Just my opinion.
Although I do appreciate the research they put into it.
I have read them all and I love them all. I have had trouble putting them down , think I might just reread and check ref. of bible more times than I did first time. The bible does not have the word "Rapture" in it but it has other words such as "snatched up" and others that mean same thing.
There are lots of thing s in almost every book of old testament and new testament about this especially Daniel and Revelations and First Thessalonians

Oh my! You mean you haven't read those books yet? You poor thing! They are so totally awesome! If you love the series, you will love those 2 books! Book 11 as so sad, though! I wanted very badlly to cry when I read it! And there was #8, also. WOW! I'm a fan of the poignant type of story, but this was so real and so........both terrifying and joyous!
I'm afraid I can only say I've read the 1st of the 4 prequels. I enjoyed it, but I never got to read the last ones. Only the first one.

Let's hope we all "wake up" and serve before that even happens!!
