Yeah, but if the Pale woman was everything that the fool wasn't.... then.... you know.
The Fool is a dude(at least he was in the end), I think Fitz would have noticed if the Fool was missing something since he was naked. About the Queen, I think it was more like Fitz reminded her about her husband, plus Fitz was an old friend.
There was a part in Royal Assassin where I assumed Fitz was making love to Molly at the same time Verity was to Kettricken, and that made Fitz blush and whatnot, but upon reading the Wikipedia summary, it seems that Verity made love to Kettricken through Fitz (Apparently that's how Dutiful got his Wit powers)? I don't know and don't frankly care. After I heard Molly and Burrich got married, I read the Wikipedia summary to find out the general ending and dropped the series. In my opinion, Fitz should've just made like an assassin and assassinated all obstacles.
The Fool is a man. After a lot of ambiguity, it becomes clear. But being "not entirely human" I think that sexuality is not so important to him. For Fitz, this is not the case.
