Jenna i kinda agree, tj was very very mature from the start almost to mature

Katie I disagree on that point. tj had already gone through much more than anyone his age. even thinking about the future and planning so he would eventually be able to have kids. of course he was very mature for his age.

Lisa T.J. sounded like a typical teen right from the start to me. He wanted to stay home to hang out with his friends instead of going to his parent's place in the islands to be homeschooled. When the plane crashed, he almost had to become a man right away. From the moment of the crash to life on the island with Anna, he had serious responsibilities that his other peers didn't have. They were back home partying, hanging with friends and going to school and he was having to survive on an island. It was so apparent that he had grown into a man so much sooner when they returned to Chicago and he tried to hang out with his old friends again. The differences were so huge. He knew he was in a different place than them because of his experience....there was no going back for him and he was fine with it..awesome book !!
