She uses 'Afterward' in Consequences too - and that particular scene in book one then takes place in book 2. But I pray that it is Tony - if they don't work out all my emotion breakdowns will be for nothing.
Deranged is a perfect word. I keep replaying the last few chapters in my head at work. Not good when you have deadlines!
