Joseph I agree

message 3: by Astrid (new)

Astrid Mann I guess I can agree with this. But, you do have to consider that some characters affected their deaths more than others.

message 4: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy I also believe that everyone is at fault as every character that is introduced into the story has a purpose. That purpose is to lead Romeo and Juliet to their death.

message 5: by Sai (new)

Sai Adepu I don't believe this. There are many characters that do not contribute to the death or Romeo and Juliet. For example, Benevolio doesn't contribute to their death. All he wanted to do was to get Romeo out of his depressing state. He was one of the reasons they fell in love. The two families fighting was the biggest cause of their death.

Maheen Qureshi I disagree. The Nurse was simply just someone that Juliet felt she could be honest to. The Nurse wanted to make Juliet happy and be with who she truly wanted to be unlike how her Mother was forcing her to marry Paris. The Nurse did not want that for Juliet, since she knew how in love she was with Romeo. She was onot ¨pressuring¨ her since everything they were planning, Juliet was very willing to do and was not being pressured, She was simply helping her in order to have the life she wanted.

Potatotoes I agree with your reasoning. However, I also think that the Friar is partly to blame. There was still a chance that Romeo and Juliet could have escaped successfully without their family knowing about their relationship. Unfortunately, the Friar messed that up when he made a plan with lots of loop holes.
