Ulysses is tough, but Finnegan's Wake is the Joyce novel considered to be the hardest.

Most challenging book I've ever read "Yaşamın Ucuna Yolculuk" by Tezer Özlü.
Yes. Challenging and, yet, it sucked me in. I love Joyce, but this book was definitely a swim in concrete at times.
Finnegans Wake is a lot tougher to get through.
