I read Charlotte's Web when I was a kid and it always had me tearing up. Did you ever watch the movie? So, sad also...It's one of the first movies I had ever seen in the movie theater on the big screen...
The movie did it too, but not like the book when I was caught completely by surprise. Don't know how I had managed to live so many years without anyone ever revealing the saddest moment in the story.
The Velveteen Rabbit? The Ugly Duckling? Do they compare?
