as we now know from MURDER OF CROWS, Tess is a HARVESTER or PLAGUE RIDER. Her hair is hair, NOT snakes like the head covering of the medusas and gorgons. Her hair may change color and curl, but it IS hair.
OK, calm down. I'm just saying that it's remarkably similar to the myths of the gorgon. Besides, myths are handed down through centuries, who knows what the "original" stories told about the gorgons?
