Francine Putkowski Hello Everyone! I am a first time Author, and my book LOVE WANTS TO FIND YOU (by Francine Putkowski) was just released. It is a self-help book about learning to love yourself, heal your heart, and find the true love you deserve. It is a true story of hope for divorced, broken-up, or lonely singles. It took me three years to write it. It was the most difficult, yet the most rewarding experience of my life. It was very cathartic. It is now available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble online.

I am looking for someone to review my self-help book (true stories about marriage/divorce, isolation, loneliness, hope, co-parenting, narcissism, blended families, toxic relationships, relationship red-flags, and steps to recovery of all of the above.)

Thank you for this forum.

Lance Morcan Hi – My new thriller novel The Me Too Girl has just been launched on Amazon and we (my co-writer/son James and I) are keen for reviews.

The storyline:
Young Los Angeles public relations exec Suzie Fox is being blackmailed for sex by a bad cop, a senior officer of the LAPD no less. Suzie fights back the only way she knows how, and, in the process, unwittingly becomes a beacon, a shining light, for America's Me Too movement and for abused women everywhere. But will justice be served?

The Me Too Girl by Lance Morcan

We have dedicated this novel to abused women everywhere – and to those individuals (men and women) who help convict the abusers.

The first review, by Amazon Hall of Fame Top 100 reviewer Grady Harp, is just in. He writes: "An immensely impressive novel as well as a wake-up call for increased attention to the crime of sexual abuse, this book is important – as well as being a fine read. Highly recommended."

Thereafter I’m happy to email a pdf review copy of the manuscript. Just let me know at sterlinggatebooks@gmail.com - Thanks!

Leon Stevens Hello Everybody,

In anticipation of my first book, Lines by Leon: Poems, Prose and Pictures, I am offering a free eBook with selected poems.

Lines by Leon is a selection of poems, prose, and short stories that address the subjects of loss, struggle, and reflection. Inside these thoughtful contemplations are original observations about ego, behaviour, human relations, places, and the environment. Many of the pieces feature a lighthearted and even humorous take on a subject, and the author invites his readers to laugh, think, cry, and meditate on the wide variety of thoughts.
Scattered throughout the book are sketches of various subjects, many that relate to the poems and stories they illustrate; others speak for themselves.

Visit www.linesbyleon.com to get your copy (Epub or PDF).

I hope you enjoy my creations. Comments welcome.

Cheers,
Leon

Moira Lefay Die Indianerpony Saga Band I Der Geistertanz by Moira Lefay
Hello everyone, I am a fantasy author from the little place called Schleswig-Holstein. The reason I took on writing novels as a full-time commitment was, that I wanted to share my happiness and my adventures with the world. My novel "Die Indianerpony Saga" (The war pony Saga) is my first novel and I am so excited to share the adventures of Amber and her new friends. I would love to hear what you thought of the book. If you love adventures with a little bit of horror and loads of great landscapes and horses, then this book will hopefully be as much fun for you to read as it was fun for me to write.

Sarah In 2008, my mother died from pancreatic cancer. The day she was diagnosed, she bought a journal to begin documenting her experience, and she ended up filling four books in her last fourteen months of life. My father took some of her entries as inspiration and wrote a memoir entitled I’m Sorry, It’s Pancreatic Cancer. It tells the love story from their first date to the last fourteen months of their life together, and it touches on how he still has her in his life even after she has taken her long journey home. As my parents went through this chapter of life and death, they were striving to hear stories from others suffering the same fate. My father wanted to write this book, so that others who are now experiencing it could find solace in knowing what the future may hold. I would love for you to know the amazing love story of my parents.
Any person with a serious illness, as well as those close to the person afflicted, will find a kindred spirit in the story.

I'm Sorry, It's Pancreatic Cancer is now available on Amazon & Barnes and Noble. Honest reviews welcomed.

message 23: by Dilip (last edited Dec 11, 2019 03:30AM) (new)

Dilip James Hi everyone! My name is Dilip D James and I am the author of the book “The Electromagnetic Universe: A New Physics”. This is the story of how I chose the cover for my book or more accurately of how it chose me. I would like to explain why I had chosen this particular piece of art; ‘Textured wall paper’ by Dmitiri Bayer for the cover of my book. The moment I saw this particular work of art I was very attracted to it, without really knowing why. It was only later that while looking at the cover of my book, I realised that what had attracted me to this work of art was that it reminded me of the saying “Pennies from Heaven” . So to me it symbolises the down to earth God given wisdom that we are all blessed with.
Physics from the beginning of the twentieth Century has used abstruse mathematics dealing with imaginary numbers existing in multiple dimensions that has little or nothing to do with reality to explain phenomena using explanations that were as arcane and occult as the mathematics that supported them. Take the idea of a particle (a solid having measurable mass and dimensions) being able to exist in two places at once (superposition) or theories that the same particle can undergo disembodiment And be everywhere and nowhere at one and the same time (the wave-function). Take the belief that multiple dimensions can exist, although we in this Universe know of only three ; length, breadth and height. If time is included that makes four dimensions, but no matter how you try it is impossible to think of more dimensions. So the theory of multiple dimensions exists without and explanation or description of what these multiple dimensions might be. Special and General Relativity are even worse. Special relativity claims that distances can contract (length contraction) and that time can grow longer or shorter according to circumstance. What this means is that the time taken for light to travel the one way distance from London to New York is the same as the time taken by light to travel from London to New York and back to London again. (Look up Einstein synchronisation on Wikipedia). Einstein exerted, and still exerts, such a fascination over our minds that in spite of the fact that we know for sure that what he is saying is wrong. For instance, we can theoretically measure the difference between the one way journey that light travels and the two way journey that it travels, we are willing to accept it when Einstein says that our calculations are wrong!
The Electromagnetic Universe: A New Physics’ offers indisputable alternative explanations based on common sense and logic, for all of the phenomena that quantum mechanics and relativity are unable to explain without resorting to occult explanations. Hence the appeal of the art work of the cover for the book, with its connotations of ‘Pennies from Heaven’.
What has this got to do with the common man/woman on the street and how is it important? Think about it, light is possibly the most important aspect of our lives, do we want to be excluded from such an important part of our lives and have the beauty of light in all its glory shrouded and hidden from us by arcane mathematical abstractions that have no connection to reality? The physics community is today more fascist than Hitler’s Germany or Communist Russia. They do not tolerate dissent. Nothing must be spoken that goes against that which already exists. My book reveals, in part, some of this deception and explains light in terms that are morer easily understandable.

Eleftherios Psitopoulos Hi everyone, it's nice to be part of this great community!
I am the creator of Inner Shine: your mindfulness journal.
As the title suggests, it is a gratitude journal which focuses on helping you view life with a more positive attitude and achieve your goals with a smile.

As the journal has just been published some days ago, it has no reviews both on Amazon or here on Goodreads. Of course I am not asking you to buy a copy in order to review it on Amazon (although I would be very happy), I would like to ask you to browse through the free one-week sample of the journal and write a short review here on Goodreads.

I wish you all the best!

Lance Morcan Season's Greetings!

My latest short story Once Were Brothers has just been released.

The Thomas family’s lives will never be the same again when seven-year-old Daniel Thomas is abducted from the family farm in New Zealand’s Far North by Maoris opposed to the presence of white settlers. Daniel’s father devotes his remaining years to searching for his missing blue-eyed, blond-haired son. Until his death a decade later, he’s assisted in his search by Daniel’s identical twin brother Benjamin. Like his late father, Benjamin believes Daniel is still alive.

Twenty years later and now a family man himself with children of his own, Benjamin receives a tip-off that could confirm one way or another whether his brother is alive or dead.

message 41: by Dedra (new)

Dedra Muhammad  Peace and Blessings this New Year!!!
Although Making Mary is a gripping, most compelling love story based on true accounts, it is also a chronicle of the social conditions of a "dead" people.  Muhammad is an omniscient narrator who is steeped in understanding of human and social cycles. The masterfully told and descriptive story is about the author's great-grandmother and the domestic violence she suffered at the hands of her husband. As the Civil War is the back drop of Gone with the Wind, the Black Experience is the backdrop of this riveting page-turner.  The two major settings are Escambia County, Florida and Detroit-Pontiac Michigan from the aftermath of slavery up through the Great Depression. As in George Orwell's 1984, Author Muhammad foretells implications of the present day.

Humor and wit is laced throughout the chapters, allowing the reader to fully absorb even the most hostile villain. One reviewer wrote, "I have folded over pages where I read brilliant sentences that made me read them twice sometimes three times...I am at the part where Henry found Vivian on Lee's front porch.  He bought her back to his cabin and he is pressuring her to stay and be with him.....WOW....this part is blowing me away plus I want to fight Lee right now!  Dedra this book is soooo good...." Erin J. Greene

The first edition of Making Mary was published almost two decades ago (the grey cover). The second edition (yellow cover) is the true book.  However due to the author's inability to come out of the closet about abuse and other issues, there now has to be a rebirth of Making Mary. The few people who have been exposed to it have written eye-opening reviews that lifts the author not only to promote her book, but to start a movement to bring awareness to domestic violence.

Please watch this 3 minute video produced by students. This is the first time Muhammad has uttered the truth about Making Mary publicly, and it was in October, 2019, almost two decades after the first publication:
