Hello everyone!I'm Charlotte, 31, still don't how to introduce myself but glad to be here. I discovered Peter's book channel a few years ago, his comment section is so nice and supportive (more often than not comment sections are garbage fires, lbh) so I thought I could meet nice, interesting book lovers here!
I read a lot of different genres, I'm pretty bad at following structured challenges (popsugar, book riot etc...), tho. The type of book I read usually depends on my mood.

I’ve always loved reading, generally going through several books in a week and being a regular at the library when I was younger, but have really just stopped for a while due to life. I’d love to get back into it, and found this club through Peter’s YouTube channels. I absolutely adore Peter and find that we have similar tastes in books. I’m a huge thriller, true crime, and mystery fan so hearing that this year was all true crime for this group was exciting.

Because of them I also found this book club. I'm a true-crime doc addict however, I have not read true-crime books themselves; strictly fiction. I've not updated my GoodReads shelves since I joined years ago since Ibarely had a reason to open the app so bare with me as I organize those. :)

I'm a huge fan of Peter's and have been for years. I love his beauty community drama videos but I also love to read. I just graduated nursing school last June and currently work with clients in their homes. I have 2 grown daughters Mel and Madi, a white Budgie named President Snow and a King Charles Cavalier named Bentley. I love jig saw puzzles, planting and growing things in the dirt, cooking, makeup, tie dying, music, good movies and of course reading. I tend to lean towards biographies and romance, but sometimes even poetry. I do like thrillers also. I just purchased the After series by Anna Todd and I'm super excited to read them. My favorite book is The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris, I own a 1st edition copy and it's one of my prized possessions and a close 2nd for me would have to be Forever by Judy Blume.

I've loved reading ever since I learned how, and my bookshelves are an eclectic mix of everything from true crime, to contemporary family fiction, to poetry, social justice, and more self-help than any one person should probably have. I found Peter's drama channel in May during "Dramageddon 2.0" and fell in love with him, which led to following his other channels and being thrilled to learn he began his YouTube career as a booktuber. My favorite author is Anne Tyler, and my all-time favorite book is probably "Some Kind of Hero" by James Kirkwood (Don't watch the movie .... it was awful.) So happy to be part of this community and looking forward to sharing books, opinions, thoughts, emotions.....the whole gamut!

I raised my boys with the rule that while I wouldn't buy them every toy they wanted, I would always buy them any book they desired. I fell in love with reading at age 4 and haven't stopped. Yes, I'm the type who reads the back and sides of the cereal box at breakfast and who reads the back of the conditioner bottle in the shower.
My favorite books are crime/forensic-centric books, however I love fantasy worlds too as long as they aren't space focused. Dragons, demi-gods and fae? Yes please.
I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and my medication has kind of slowed my reading pace a bit, so I will undoubtedly fall behind some months, but I will try my best.

I found this book club through Peter’s YouTube channels (I watch them all lol) I’ve never been part of a book club so I am so excited to join a virtual one. I have always loved to read, it is my favorite hobby although I haven’t done too much of it lately because of suffering a brain aneurysm and then finding another and having to put 2 stents in to keep that aneurysm from rupturing. They still cause my very intense migraines so sometimes it’s hard to read so I will do my best to keep up.
