I never got super into comic books, but I still think Wonder Woman is super cool. This seems like a good twist! Plus that art you showcased looks amazing.

Comics are their own thing, and there are so many subgenres, and then we all get huffy when we like something and someone else hates it.
It's a beautiful community. lol
I'm not sure if this would be a Wonder Woman gateway drug or not, but I truly enjoyed it.

Oh, I didn't even think about there being a difference, but yeah, I can see how that might be a thing. I read almost all of my comics digitally nowadays, so I wouldn't have even noticed. Makes sense, color is expensive to print
For once, I was onto it enough to buy the actual comics for this. It is ABSOLUTEly magnificent. Easily the best comics I've read this year.

I'm NEVER onto it fast enough. The closest thing I get to it is when the DC app recommends something from the Ultra section and I have the sense to pay attention.
it's such an amazing comic. I'm genuinely so excited to read more of the entire absolute universe. I've been letting it build up for a bit
I'm trying to decide whether I want to go ahead and reading the single issues or wait for volume 2 to drop.
What surprised me was the tone. I thought the Amazon from hell angle would be just about making her more badass and mean. Or whatever. But somehow, it add more depth and genuine (not forced) empathy for the character that is fantastic. She is badass and cool and interesting. And you never really know what to expect, which is honestly great.
Perfectly describes it! She should be awful, but she was just so compassionate. I like the idea that you don't need to give in to your circumstances. Be better, be kinder, all that jazz.
Yeah. And just a different take on Hell, which I appreciated. More in line with the Greek concept of Hades, which isn't the same thing as contemporary notions of Christian Hell.
I've really been having fun with all of them. Flash is probably the one I'm least interested in, but I'm not writing that one off yet.
I will have to wait for the next ComiXology 🤮 sale. At least DC still discounts their digital titles on Amazon. Image? Nope.
I think Kelly Thompson is genuinely funny. Your review suggests that the tone of this comic may be more serious.
I think I already mentioned Ms. Thompson’s West Coast Avengers to you?
Have you tried her Birds of Prey on DC Infinite?
Did you read Superstar Tom King’s take on Wonder Woman? And the Master has now taken on Jenny Sparks from the Greatest Superhero Team ever (excluding the Guardians of the Globe and the newly minted Justice Gang…not their name).
While we’re doing DC, have you watched Kite Man, Hell Yeah! on Max? Bane!!! And the Time Travel Toilet! 😂
