Most of my writing experience has been in screenwriting, but I self-published my first book for the first time last year. Since my background is in Anthropology, the bulk of my work revolves around history. My book, HERETIC: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF AKHENATEN, is available through Amazon, both in Kindle and paperback format. It tells the story of the controversial 18th Dynasty Pharaoh, Akhenaten-- father of Tutankhamun and husband of Nefertiti. I will also be publishing one of my screenplays shortly-- UNBOUND, which is loosely based on the witch persecutions in Scotland.
My work can be found here at: http://www.amazon.com/Heretic-Life-De...
and I'd love to have you visit my webpage and blog which explores the writer's muse: http://brijitreed.com/
Thank you and I look forward to future interactions with this group. It will be fun to see it grow!

Just finished reviewing your book on Amazon, Kelly. You can find my review under "Sarah Jane". Well done!
Hey everyone! These are my books.
Anomaly & Fracture are part of a paranormal romance series called The New Haven Project. It's been described as a cross between X-Men & The Bourne Identity.
A Collection of Souls is also a ya paranormal romance about a girl named Allie who was tricked into becoming a Soul Collector by a handsome stranger. They eventually fall into an addictive and toxic romance, but Allie faces grave consequences for soul collecting.
Kill of the Night is a teen/chic lit vampire novel that borders on satire. Its a story of romance and revenge. People who liked Buffy will probably enojy reading Libby's story :)

I'm so glad you liked it! Sorry it took me so long to respond. I get really bogged down with Goodreads correspondence sometimes and completely missed your message until now. Anyway, job well done! Congrats!

I just released my new book, UNBOUND, in screenplay format on Kindle a few days ago. It's currently available for FREE until March 29th. Would very, very much appreciate any downloads, reads, reviews, or shares.

Ginny McMath’s first book allows you to enter her hilarious, thought provoking journey of six women taking life by the balls when their husbands walked out with theirs. Broken Headbone travels into these women’s brains as they find their way back to themselves. Their unique adventures are told through outrageous stories. Laugh out loud in places you will find yourself thinking, “For God’s sake, snap out of it!” From dressing up for kid’s parties to apartment managing crack heads you can’t help but wonder if they lost their minds along the way. A fresh, new voice in American writing, Ginny McMath shows us you can heal through humor and by putting one foot in front of the other. Partial Proceeds from this book will go to Breast Cancer research.

Gaspar And The Fantastical Hats is a new humnorous fantasy adventure by David. A Lindsay, which should be of special interest to Terry Pratchett fans.

He’s a vulture. Hunter Tate scavenges for any leavings which he can sell to the publicity rags. Always sniffing the air for his next victim, he circles and he swoops in, thrilled by vulnerability and the pathetic human failings that his camera will capture next. Hunter has earned an inglorious nickname. Bestowed on him by other flock members of the heartless paparazzi, “Buzzard” is what they call him as they sneeringly jest each time Hunter manages to scoop them, to act first on the “anonymous” tips they have only just received via text. Hunter moves in for the kill, his instinct and total dedication to his craft makes him the king of gathering irrefutable and damaging proof of the infidelities, the career blunders and precise moments of loss and despair in the lives of the rich and famous. He is the best. And, he is quite proud of it. So is his mother.
He’s beautiful. He’s an artist, a writer, and a musician. A dichotomy of sadness and longing, Sterling Lawson has created a musical fan base around the globe. Hailing from Estonia, his personal sorrows and dark discontent feed the melancholia-filled fans who cling to his every lyric from his multitude of platinum albums. Obsessed with his glory, those who claim to admire his gifts fantasize and dehumanize the very man they adore. Like piranha. It is a fast and unfulfilling life. Despite his own attempts to annihilate his own success, at the end of the day, when the spotlight hits the middle of the stage, Sterling Lawson is completely beloved by millions of people, including Hunter Tate.
Katherine Wheel. Her name reflects her tortured soul. An instrument upon which the sinners are to be punished. In the South, women are raised to be hard as nails, and soft as rose petals. Trapped by Southern expectations, Katherine prefers her shadowed world of silent solitude. Katherine is particularly graceful, intuitive and deeply connected to her southern clan, both living in Alabama and beyond. Her world is a magical, picture-perfect southern vignette. And there is nothing she wouldn’t do to keep her home hidden, tranquil and protected. How she faces what the outside world has to bring to her world will change her life forever. Or end it.
Dark Light. Two sides to every story. Love and Hate, Music and Silence, Wrong and Right.

This is my first book Wreckless Wishes.

What is your wish? These are the words Tabitha heard the day she went from being an ordinary everyday girl to being a little black Tabby cat. It might sound laughable to most, but I can assure you to her it isn't. After innocently making a wish Tabitha is turned into a cat. She tries to tell her mother but can anyone really understand what a cat is meowing about? Feeling hopeless and alone she finds a fourteen year old boy in her backyard having trouble tying his shoes. She comes to find out that the boy is Shadow, her mischievous black cat that has been turned into a teenage boy because of her reckless wish. He claims they somehow switched places. He then tells her there is still hope for them both to turn back to normal. They just have to follow a crow down a well and into another realm full of Knights and Dragons, Wizards and Goblins, and one very unlucky Werewolf.
I know the group prefers Y-A and my book is for 8-12. But I wrote so adults as well as children could enjoy. It is the beginning of a serious that is about Tabby growing up and becoming an adult.
You can read the first two chapters on amazon.
If anyone is welling to review this, please send a personal message to me.

Still pretty new to all this, so thanks for this thread and being able to let you know about my book, 'Lost Souls'
For most teenagers adolescence means zits and mood swings, for Will Hawkins it means dealing with ghosts.
After nearly drowning as a baby, he comes back to life with the ability to see the dead. He's on the point of turning thirteen, unaware that his life is about to change for ever, only his grandfather knows what awaits those like Will who are able to travel the shadowy realms between the living and the dead.
Will's about to find himself thrown into the dark, scary and often crazy world of the afterlife where he'll meet the ghosts of Shakespeare, Elvis, an army of Roman soldiers, an 18th century highwayman and a hundred year killer. Not forgetting the none too friendly spirit of Adolf Hitler.
Follow Will on his adventures as he treks through haunted hospitals and fights zombie chickens.

It's free on Amazon June 20th - June 21st 2013
I'd love some reviews.

Read what others are saying below!
In the mid-1700s, vampire hysteria is sweeping across Eastern Europe. A war is being led by multiple fronts, by government monarchs, the Catholic Church, and privately. For Leon these battles are personal, as he is forced to ingest the ashes of the vampire in order to resist the temptation to become a vampire himself. His allies include Milos, an old man who has been combatting the undead since his days in the military, and Suzanna, a woman who might just be looking to use the two men for her own personal vengeance. Together the three hunt the vampire responsible for Leon’s potential transformation, who is trying to impress a far more sinister and sadistic power who resides up the Borgo Pass in Transylvania.
"I love this story and am so glad you have left it open for a sequel.”

“Dracula’s Apprentice is a mixture of historical facts and fiction. Zimmerman intertwines the two for a compelling read.”

Terry Pratchett fan? Both Gaspar The Thief and its prequel, Gaspar And The Fantastical Hats, are attracting excellent reviews / ratings on Goodreads and Amazon.
"The world building ... creates a believable fantasy setting full of dirty cities, filthy gutters, crumbling castles, guilds, inns, taverns, and the occasional bawdy house."
"Written from a limited omniscient point of view, the prose, grammar, and vocabulary in this book are a notch above the norm that I’ve personally found in light fantasy."

Here is the back cover blurb:

This book is about my self-help technique I have been developing for years. However, I decided to join this group not because of the content of the book but rather because of the book by itself. I made this book completely by myself including writing, of course, design, illustrations, layouts, binding, printing, and everything except the paper on which the book was printed, toner and ink. Some revision of my English was done by another person (English is not my native language).
So, I would like to be in touch with those who are in the same position - completely self-published authors. Also, I am willing to share my experience with my self-publishing adventure.
