i never understand this. poc might have different experiences but they don't have different brains. one is not obligated to talk about racism just because your character is black, or homophobia if your character is gay, etc. the oppression these groups face don't define them as individuals. or just write your characters' appearances as amiguous so people can picture them as they wish? idk it's just weird at this point. the "i write what i know" seems to apply to very selective and specific things like mostly only skin color for most authors lol
