Gerry I totally agree. The same goes for the last Robert Gailbraith book. Because she used a trans-dresser and had made homophobic comments in real life she was criticized. Surely we're critiquing the book and not the author. I loved both of these books!

Maarten Mens Spot on. I had exactly the same feeling reading "reviews" on the Galbraith book

Judy Vincenty No! It's not about not reading Connolly bc of his political views. It's about resenting the fact that he shoves is down his readers' throats because he has a forum to do so. Is he so dense he doesn't realize that maybe half his audience is conservative and might find it offensive? And yes he is absolutely pushing his political view. Do you think anyone is that naive?

Scott This is easy for someone on the far left to say. But for good conservatives who get bombarded with leftist ideology in every aspect of their lives, it becomes more than just tiresome. It would be really funny to see those on the left freak out if the media, academic institutions, social media, tech giants, and unelected government officials all skewed to the far right. The left would riot in the streets. Conservatives, however, just periodically express displeasure in forums like these. And, of course, that brings out these hilariously short-sighted and predictable comments from those on the far left.
