Shane Castle In my youth I held the attitude that intelligence was like CPU processing power -- those with less would just take longer to reach similar conclusions. But now I see that those people have never learned how to think rationally in the first place. This is a fundamental issue and challenge for our world.

Judy R. Dorothy L. Sayers' "Gaudy Night" evokes speculation as to the real-world worth of scholasticism as it is portrayed there. It's odd that dialogue brings it out, but the sense of reverence never wavers.
