Malibu Rising has no events beyond the day of the party August, 1983. Evelyn Hugo is an end of life retrospective occurring more recently, so its not inconsistent..
I realised as I sent my comment that Evelyn Hugo was set in 2017 looking back but didn’t want to dirty delete. I blame lack of sleep haha. Nearly finished EH and loving it!
I just finished Malibu Rising and read Evelyn Hugo awhile ago. Can you refresh my memory of what happens to his character in it? Do they mention his kids?
No, they don’t mention his kids, he’s just this singer who publicly declares how much he likes Evelyn so she kind of manipulates his attraction into a quickie marriage as a cover story for her and her true love (not saying to avoid spoilers!). It’s annulled a day or so after the marriage and she doesn’t hear from him again but it does some major damage to her and her true love’s relationship.
