Damn. I don't remember any mention of a sister. Now, I'll have to re-read CH. There goes next weekend!
I was going to say the same thing... I've read everything at least 3 times, but don't remember a sister.
Sister might have been a later addition. Or died elsewhere. Or something. Really, it's been too long...
