Jonathan Palfrey I don't see a typo either. It would be nice to find a simpler and clearer way of writing the second sentence, but that comment could be made here and there in any lengthy text if you examine it with a magnifying glass.

Becky I guess they mean that "to" in "many to overcrowded" should be "too"? As in they rooms are too overcrowded? But I think that's actually just a misreading of the sentence, not a typo. I'm really not sure, otherwise.

Jonathan Palfrey I thought that "to" should perhaps be "into": the dwellings are cut up into overcrowded chambers.

Barth Siemens Who is Louis, and why would they want to know about a possible typo in Lois' novel?

Brzk I am quietly scanalized. Also, this is why people should provide some sort of reasoning to their statements. Optimally, reasoning first, stasting second.
On a different note, I am re-reading Shards of Honor. Superb. Exquisitely fine. One of a kind. Pefectly relevant. And relatable.

Martha Yeah, the only typo I'm seeing is "Louis" instead of "Lois"...

David Cut-up is the adjective form, it should just be cut up. But that's hardly worth bothering with.
