Jonathan Palfrey Perhaps it came more naturally to me to read Wyndham, because he and I are both British—although he was approximately of my grandparents' generation. It's a long time since I read any of his novels ("The Chrysalids" was perhaps the best of them), but there are a few of his short stories that I like, and reread occasionally ("Odd", "Stitch in time", "Random quest").

Andie I find them very enjoyable to re-read - the Kraken Wakes, Day of the Triffids, and Web are probably the ones I go to most often. I would say Day of the Triffids, Midwich Cuckoos, and Chrysalids may be my favourites. I enjoy his stories although they are quite different to the Vorkosigan universe. Creative and interesting stories, for me anyway!

Okcrow Wyndham’s work was extraordinary and far ahead of his time.
