Teresa That’s really unfortunate because they were my favorites after Sookie’s series! Thank you for giving me so many hours of pleasure. I’m loving the Gunnie Rose books!

Kimberly Do you have a rough draft ready, in the event that they do ask for one?

message 3: by C.W. (new)

C.W. Reads You only write the books that your publisher wants? You don't get to decided?

Elyse Authors don't have the time to waste writing books they are not contracted for. Not after they are established authors. I've seen P. C. Cast answer this question.

C.W. Reads That sounds to me like someone is in it for just the money and not the story. Thanks for answering me

Elyse @C.W. Reads: Well, in order to have writing be your sole career, you do have to be in it for the money. And most writers do want it to be their sole career. If enough fans make a big enough stink about another book in a series, the publisher could contract Charlaine to write another book. But if she pitches an idea and they say no, there's not much she can do except keep pitching *other* ideas hoping they will bite. They bit Gunnie Rose so she's trekking down that path.

Bertha The Midnight books are WONDERFUL ‼️ Someone at your publisher should rethink not asking you for more !

Bracken The Midnight books were my favorite!

Jan Well,
you can just tell your publisher that your public wants more.
