This would be sad news of anyone, any random stranger--far sadder to hear of a beloved author. Best hopes, for her own sake, and only incidentally for greedy readers like me, who always want to know when the next book will hit the shelves.
Dear Bill, Please send Julia all good healing wishes from a Chicago poet. Her imagery in her fiction is so rich - a threat to sight and work must be fully attended to and primary. Elizabeth
