message 1: by Allen (new)

Allen Horne I write comic poems, anthologies, one novel, and two plays about incest, one an adaptation of Oedipus Rex. I never have writer's block, which I consider like, say, surgeon's block or lawyer's block. In other words, writing is what I do just as surgery and cases are what the other two do. In my opinion, writer's block, a deep sense of inferiority, and a large dose of self-importance are the building blocks. That said, because I can barely survive financially, I am stopped by finishing work, but not by choice.
