Does three mean you will forever be done with Alex and the gang or is there a chance you may one day revisit the Sterniverse in the future, like you did with the different series of Grishaverse books?
I'm so excited that there's going to be a third but so sad that it will be the end. I love these characters as if I know them. But I guess what they say is true, "all good things..."
I could read at least 12 Alex Stern books. I would wait for many lives and just keep returning to check on the progress. I know the way now. :-)
I am very excited for all the Alex Stern I can get. Too bad she's so draining; I would absolutely love 12 books. But 3 is amazing. And of course I will read whatever else you choose to bless us with :)
The level of research is absolutely fantastic! I loved everything about Ninth House, but the best thing for me is how grounded in reality and in the history of this specific place it is. Thanks for giving us that!
I would take 12, but we can start with three. Dying for the third installment and would read anything more than you ever want to come out with.
I'll keep saying it. you created something special and it deeply saddens me that it will end on book 3 when the characters r so new and raw. Loosing Darlington was the catalyst of a list of events and growth for the characters. It's like if when Buffy realised the high school was on top of the Hellmouth and then the series ended!
oh shit the Buffy/Alex similarities ! I just realised!
I loved Alex Stren books. It’s one of kind story with amazing flawed characters.I was really hopeful for 5 book-series but alas!
I can’t help but hope that you find yourself returning to Alex Stern and Darlington and the gang over and over again! Even if it’s between other writings and it takes a few years every single time…The Ninth House are now in my top 5 of all time (series.)
Can’t quite decide if it’s gone to number 2 or 3 because the two are both u finished series of 2 books so far, but there is SO much room for almost unlimited content with this series foundation that I’m sure it’ll firmly land in number two, functionally my favorite as number one is a single stand alone I re-read about once a year which I expect to be the case with Ninth House and any further books after Hell Bent!!!
It’s also the first time in the last 10 years I’ve actually not only bought the physical books, but hardback, and a second set for my best friend. (After reading both via kindle purchase.)
these were fantastic. thanks for sharing these stories with us. whatever the wait, i am so happy you are giving us more in this series!
"Hopefully the wait won't be quite as long for the final installment" at the time of this comment, she wrote this sentence 2 years ago...I am unwell
